Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: I Don't Know What I Did While Asleep

Zeyan instinctively took a deep breath, then suddenly thought that his behavior might seem too rash. He quickly turned his head to look at Kamisato Ayaka and found that the girl beside him had a blush on her cheeks, so beautiful that he almost wanted to take a bite.

After a long silence, Kamisato Ayaka finally said, "We should set sail now."

Hearing this, Zeyan came back to his senses. "Yes, yes, we should set sail."

As he spoke, he quickly looked away.

The Waverider could be controlled to move forward through mechanisms in the cabin. Kamisato Ayaka was in charge of operating it, after all, Zeyan had never driven a Waverider before and wasn't as skilled as Kamisato Ayaka.

While operating the Waverider, Kamisato Ayaka's hands naturally needed to move constantly, inevitably leading to more touches and frictions with Zeyan's arm. A strange feeling went straight to Zeyan's heart.

Even through their clothes, Zeyan could feel the softness of Kamisato Ayaka's arm. That peculiar touch made him feel like his whole body was softening, and all his attention fell on his arm, wanting to feel that touch more delicately.

Kamisato Ayaka's heart was naturally not so calm either. The physical contact with a man had kept the blush on her face, which had appeared since she boarded the boat, from fading.

As the touches and frictions increased, Kamisato Ayaka became more and more embarrassed. She vaguely seemed to feel Zeyan's masculine aura. Although this aura was unfamiliar, it stirred a strange feeling in her heart, a little bit of yearning.

With the two of them preoccupied with their own thoughts, the Waverider turned around and sailed out of the pier.

"Boom!"

Outside, thunder roared and raged in the sky, the wind howled and stirred up waves, and the heavy rain mercilessly slammed into the ocean, creating one ripple after another.

The sound of thunder made Zeyan and Kamisato Ayaka both snap back to their senses.

Only then did they notice that they had left Ritou, and a hundred different emotions arose in their hearts at once.

Leaving Ritou also meant leaving Inazuma. Next was Liyue... but would the journey be smooth?

Kamisato Ayaka tried to shift her sadness at leaving her hometown and said, "We need to head west all the way, and the direction should be slightly north, and then we can reach Liyue."

Hearing this, Zeyan asked, "Can the direction be determined? The weather is so bad now, we can't see the sun at all, so identifying the direction shouldn't be easy, right?"

Kamisato Ayaka smiled and said, "Don't worry about this problem, we have a compass. It was left in Inazuma by adventurers from other countries, and it can come in handy at this time."

Zeyan understood. "That solves the problem. I just hope that there won't be any other problems on the way, and I hope the wind and waves will be smaller so that we can reach Liyue smoothly."

He didn't want to go to sea before, but since they had already set sail, he naturally hoped for a safe journey.

The Waverider floated up and down on the sea, getting further and further away from Ritou. When the sky darkened, they were already a long distance from Ritou, and all around them had turned into a black ocean.

Thunder tore through the sky, heavy rain poured down, and the tide on the sea was so turbulent. This scene was truly terrifying. If one were alone, just being in such a scene would drive them mad.

Fortunately, they were not alone.

Zeyan sat in the cabin, his back leaning against boxes of supplies.

Beside him was Kamisato Ayaka, her petite figure huddled there.

The two were eating a few rice balls. After eating, they threw the leftovers into the sea... In their current situation, this was the only way to dispose of the trash.

After eating, Kamisato Ayaka sailed the boat for a while before stopping again.

Night gradually deepened.

"Zeyan, we can only sleep like this tonight. Can you get used to it?" Kamisato Ayaka was already a little sleepy.

"Of course, no problem. But Ayaka, if you feel uncomfortable, you must say so in advance," Zeyan said, looking at Kamisato Ayaka with gentle eyes.

At this time, the other person actually cared about his situation first, making him feel that this stormy night wasn't so cold after all, and his heart felt warm.

"Then, I'm going to sleep. Zeyan, good night."

"Ayaka, good night."

The Waverider floated in the sea, and the two people in the cabin fell asleep just like that.

People cannot stay completely still while sleeping, and they themselves do not know how they move.

So Zeyan wouldn't know that after falling asleep, he restlessly hugged Kamisato Ayaka.

Kamisato Ayaka also wouldn't know that after falling asleep, she leaned towards Zeyan on her own, her head resting on Zeyan's chest.

The night was deep and cold.

But the two in their dreams felt that this sleep was still very warm.

Until morning arrived.

The morning of a rainy day was still dim, but Kamisato Ayaka's biological clock still woke her up on time.

"What am I..."

When she realized that she was actually sleeping in Zeyan's embrace, Kamisato Ayaka's face flushed instantly. She quickly sat up straight, trying to create some distance between them. But in this cabin filled with supplies and thus too narrow, how could she create distance even if she wanted to?

After struggling a few times, Kamisato Ayaka not only failed to break free from Zeyan, but also woke him up.

"Hmm..." Zeyan opened his sleepy eyes and looked at the person in front of him. "Ayaka?"

When he saw the girl in his arms with a pink flush on her cheeks, staring straight at him, Zeyan woke up completely and realized that he was actually holding Kamisato Ayaka tightly.

This situation also made Zeyan's face turn red, and he quickly let go of Kamisato Ayaka. "Sorry, Ayaka, I had no idea what I did while I was asleep."

Under her long eyelashes, Kamisato Ayaka's ice-blue eyes blinked and she said, "It's... it's nothing, Zeyan doesn't need to apologize to me for this kind of thing. After all, we're sleeping in such a cramped environment, it's understandable for this to happen. If you apologize for it, it would instead make me seem impolite."

Hearing this, Zeyan changed the subject. "Haha, then let's quickly have some breakfast and continue our journey. I just don't know how many days it will take to get to Liyue."

Hearing this, Kamisato Ayaka's attention also returned to the main matter. "It's hard to say how long it will take. After all, the wind and rain are too strong, which has caused a lot of obstacles to our progress. It might take many days, but our supplies should be enough."

Zeyan breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good."

They silently put what had happened after waking up in the morning deep in their minds, then had breakfast and continued on their way.

In the blink of an eye, five days had passed.

In those five days, their Waverider had swayed and traveled far across the ocean, and correspondingly, the relationship between the two had become increasingly ambiguous.
