Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Found Someone I Like

Kamisato Ayaka said faintly, "Do you think the weather will ever clear up?"

This question left Zeyan unable to answer. He could only try to persuade her from other angles. "But sailing out to sea in such heavy rain is very dangerous. This boat only looks stable. It will easily capsize in the open sea, and then we'll both be finished."

Kamisato Ayaka turned her head, her ice-blue eyes sparkling as she looked at Zeyan. "But, I want to go to Liyue."

Faced with the girl's firm and persistent look, Zeyan didn't know what to say for a moment.

For a long time, Zeyan had felt a sense of guilt towards Kamisato Ayaka, making it difficult for him to raise his voice or contradict her.

But going to Liyue was really dangerous.

"Ayaka..." Zeyan pondered how to say it.

"Zeyan," Kamisato Ayaka interrupted Zeyan, "I've already decided. No matter how strong the wind and rain are, no matter how turbulent the sea is, I've made up my mind. I can't wait any longer."

The heavy rain had been falling continuously for more than twenty days, even flooding the low-lying areas of Ritou. This had never happened before, casting a dark cloud over Kamisato Ayaka's heart.

She had a feeling that the weather would never clear up, and under such circumstances, she felt there was no need for her to wait any longer.

Zeyan rubbed his temples, feeling a headache. "On the vast sea, we might not be able to find the right direction to Liyue. The storm will mercilessly swallow us. Even if we reach Liyue, there might not be an answer that satisfies you, and..."

He listed many, many problems, each one so realistic, so sharp.

Zeyan didn't want to bring up those overly realistic issues, but he really didn't want Kamisato Ayaka to go to sea, because it could really lead to their deaths in the ocean.

But as Zeyan raised one question after another, Kamisato Ayaka's expression didn't change in the slightest.

There was no retreat in her eyes, and even a gentle smile appeared on her face. "If we continue to stay in Inazuma and wait for a hope that might never come, perhaps dying in the sea is also a good choice."

Zeyan was instantly speechless.

Had living become such a heavy burden for Kamisato Ayaka?

This response left Zeyan stunned, and he didn't even clearly hear what Kamisato Ayaka said next, only vaguely realizing that the boat had stopped in front of a flight of steps in Ritou.

The seawater had flooded the low-lying areas of Ritou, but the higher areas along the steps had not yet succumbed, although rainwater was constantly flowing down from above, perhaps it wouldn't be long before they were also submerged.

Kamisato Ayaka got out of the boat, stood on the steps with her umbrella, didn't turn back, only her voice carried on the wind: "Zeyan, you said you would accompany me, didn't you?"

Zeyan stared blankly at Kamisato Ayaka.

Kamisato Ayaka stood there gracefully, her petite figure revealing a sense of fragility in the wind, as if she would be blown away.

"Zeyan, you said that wherever I go, you will go, right?" Kamisato Ayaka turned around, her eyes slightly vulnerable, and said with a smile, "Then, can we go to the other side of the sea together? To your hometown, Liyue!"

Seeing Kamisato Ayaka at this moment, Zeyan didn't know why, but he felt that the girl before him was like a flower about to wither, so fragile, so helpless, so wanting to be cherished.

Those words of dissuasion were stuck in his throat, unable to be spoken, as if refusing the girl at this moment was such a sinful thing.

Zeyan opened his umbrella, got out of the boat, looked at Kamisato Ayaka whose eyes were always on him, and said softly, "I understand, I'll go to Liyue with you."

He wasn't optimistic about the journey to Liyue, but since Kamisato Ayaka insisted on going, how could he refuse?

Kamisato Ayaka showed a beautiful smile and said, "Zeyan, thank you so much for being willing to take this risk with me. I don't know how I can ever repay you, I..."

Kamisato Ayaka was only halfway through her sentence when she noticed the young man before her approaching.

She looked up in surprise and found that Zeyan had dropped his umbrella, stepped under her umbrella, opened his arms, and hugged her tightly.

Kamisato Ayaka subconsciously raised her umbrella higher, her face a little red, and asked softly, "Zeyan, what are you doing?"

Zeyan's actions were really sudden, catching Kamisato Ayaka off guard.

But Kamisato Ayaka found that she didn't feel much resistance, and even felt a strange sense of security being held in the young man's arms like this.

This was a really strange feeling. After all, although the other person had mastered the power of elemental use and was already quite strong, he was still not as strong as she was. Why could he give her a sense of security instead?

This made Kamisato Ayaka couldn't help but think of the books she had read before. One book had said that what women needed was a sense of security, not security itself.

Was this her current situation?

However, there was another sentence in the book: when a woman finds a sense of security, that is when she has found the person she likes.

Thinking of this, Kamisato Ayaka's face immediately turned a little red.

"I was being presumptuous, Ayaka." After hugging for a while, Zeyan let go, feeling embarrassed. "I didn't know what came over me just now, I just couldn't help it... well, maybe it's because we're about to leave Inazuma, I wanted to leave some memories of this land."

"It's... it's nothing, let's go get the supplies now," Kamisato Ayaka said, her small face flushed.

"Yeah, yeah, let's go get the supplies."

Zeyan quickly picked up the umbrella he had dropped, opened it, and headed towards the Hiiragi Estate.

Next, the two shuttled back and forth between the Hiiragi Estate and the Waverider. In no time, they had filled the Waverider with a large amount of supplies, leaving only two seats, making it quite crowded.

There were still many supplies in the Hiiragi Estate, but they obviously couldn't all be brought on the Waverider. This was all they could carry.

After confirming that no more supplies could fit, the two squeezed into the boat and sat down in the cabin.

Because it was too crowded, after the two sat down, their bodies couldn't help but press against each other, and they could even feel the warmth of each other's bodies.

This situation immediately made Kamisato Ayaka's delicate face flush. Would she have to maintain such close contact with a man for a long time next?

Kamisato Ayaka lowered her head, her long eyelashes fluttering.

For Zeyan, he could now smell the maidenly fragrance from Kamisato Ayaka, so pleasant that it felt like being in a sea of blooming flowers.
