I am grateful to Zenne because he immediately acted on and addressed the information inside my basement. At that moment, William just sighed as he looked at the screen of his laptop.
He looked at Thalia, who was quietly drinking milk, lost in deep thought.
What could this child have witnessed? Curious, he asked himself.
He was grateful that it was dealt with immediately, but he still hoped he could save those women because he knew they would face a terrible nightmare.
Charles was there, but I know he's being careful now, and Giovane was there too. He just sighed.
"William, I have finished erasing all the systems used by your hut, and I have also deleted all the information before they could access it." If anyone dared to enter his lair, they would find the important information in the basement.
He looked at his phone; it was on silent; he didn't notice that Gerald had called him.
He frowned and immediately called him; he answered the call right away.
"Why did you call, Gerald? What happened?" he asked.
Thalia was also surprised by what he was saying now; he knew that Thalia had met and recognized his brother Gerald.
"Nothing; we were taken aback by Ericka's lack of response while she was gazing blankly at the field due to her recent nosebleed; I suspect she is performing that action." He reported to him.
That thing—is Ericka traveling again? He wondered in his mind.
"Did her journey get worse? She didn't have a nosebleed back then, did she?" he asked on the other line.
"Yeah, and she told me that she can't control the aftereffects of her ability." He sighed while speaking on the other end of the line.
"By the way," he suddenly remembered something.
"Ericka said she wants to see Thalia soon because she sees a looming danger in the future." The person on the other line spoke.
He looked at Thalia.
"She's here; she's in Vince's basement." He said that before.
"Oh, we're going there." Gerald said.
"No need; let's meet at Vince's house. They really need to meet soon, especially Chesca." Zenne said to his brother.
"We'll go when the sun shows up." He said,
He just nodded then, "Got it, alright, see you." He said goodbye on the other line.
William sighed.
"Thalia, someone wants to talk to you later; you need a little rest." He suggested it to the young woman.
Thalia just nodded; maybe she was still thinking about what had just happened in his lair.
"Alright, Thalia, there's a bed over there; you should rest for a while." Vince gave Thalia the order.
She followed Vince, and then after drinking a cup of milk, she immediately walked straight and entered the room.
"We need to calm down and think of a solution immediately." Zenne said.
Vince was just quietly looking at the screen.
"Vince, we will eventually find out who sabotaged our group." He heard Zenne say.
"No, I already know who it is. I just want to confirm if my suspicion is correct." He said to them.
William stared at Vince. "Who?" he asked innocently back then.
"We need to talk personally, without any members knowing about our every move. I will set the trap after their conversation now." Vince said to them.
"I want to confirm also with my cousin Felix if he sees this in the premonition." He added, saying to him, he was just bowing his head, deep in thought.
His face was serious, and it was difficult to read what had happened earlier.
"We really need to talk in detail, personally; just tell me when, Vince, and I'll help you set a trap for our corrupt colleagues. I know they are using advanced technology. That man really knows what he is doing." Zenne could only shake his head.
"Vince, is Thalia really ready to talk to the two?" William asked Vince.
Suddenly, someone called his phone. "She needs to; if this drags on any longer, our enemy might pick us off one by one without us even knowing."
"I really can't understand the mind of your cousin Felix." He heard Zenne's complaint.
Vince didn't comment anymore about his cousin. He quietly tended to his wound.
"We can't hide the ones we've saved here." He said, "My head is hurting now."
"I know a place; it's a safe place, but we need permission from that person." Vince said.
William knows who this is referring to. "I hope so; let's just ask them nicely," he said.
Vince simply nodded in agreement with what he said.
Suddenly, someone called his phone.
"How's the situation there?" Felix asked him a direct question.
He didn't know what to say to Felix, so he let out a long sigh first.
"It's not good," he said while shaking his head.
When William entered his basement, he was disappointed to see that many of his innocent friends who had helped the women he had saved had passed away. He clenched his fists; the rage he felt was boiling; no matter how much he tried to suppress it, he couldn't deny that he wanted to avenge the innocent people who had died.
"I understand." He sighed as well.
"It's sad news to us. Were there any young people rescued?"
"Yeah, but almost all of them were caught and brought back to the warehouse."
"Can Charles handle the situation?" he asked him.
"We haven't heard from Charles yet today; I hope it's not too late." He still hopes he will find something.
"Did the spies recognize you?" he asked.
"Don't worry, my exposure to those I've saved isn't constant, and I'm not well-known. As I remember clearly, I saw Tricia in the forest back then; she asked for my help. I was wearing a mask at that time; maybe I prepared myself for the worst situation." He laughed at what he was saying.
"We got you, William; keep us updated, and I will proceed with my plan."
"Ha! Please consider that carefully, Felix." He said to the other person.
"I need to say goodbye." Saying goodbye.
"Yeah, bye." He even said,.
He immediately ended their call.
