Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 – The Scream That Shattered Time

Where It All Ended

The air was thin. The sky, red like an open wound. The surrounding mountains trembled. Not because of an earthquake… but because of the creature that ruled them. The Andean Puma walked with devastating slowness. Each step crumbled stone and rock. Its golden eyes gleamed with wild intelligence. With certainty: it was the king of extinction. And before it…stood Rob.

The Final Battle (Past)

Rob bled from his mouth. His sword was broken. His body, covered in open wounds.Behind him, his family was dead. His bastion had fallen. Only he remained.

"No…" he whispered, dragging his voice. "I won't give up…"

The Puma didn't respond. It simply vanished—and reappeared in front of Rob in a fraction of a second.

Claw extended. Talon like a scythe. Energy like a black hole. Rob barely managed to raise his arm—

The Blow Split Him in Two

Literally. Rob's body disintegrated like dust under the sun. His consciousness shattered. But he didn't fully die. The Puma devoured him.

The Darkness Between Lives

Rob floated in a gray void. Shapeless. Voiceless. He remembered… but couldn't think. He felt… but couldn't move. And in that eternal limbo, a voice echoed:

"Do you want a second chance?"

"Do you want to return… with everything you remember?"

Rob screamed.

"Yes!"

And in that scream… the present Rob was born.

Return to the Now

Rob opened his eyes. He was at the top of a mountain. Alone. The night sky flickered. And in the distance, he felt its presence. The same enemy. The same creature. But he… was no longer the same man.

He gripped the hilt of his sword.

"The death you gave me…was the cruelest and most perfect gift of all."

"And now, Puma…"

"I will devour you."

The Roar That Heralds the End

The Andes cracked without warning. The condors that still lived in its peaks fled in all directions, screeching as if sensing the end of the world. The temperature dropped sharply. The air grew dense.

Reality… tensed.

And then… the sky split in two.

The Descent

A black figure fell slowly from the firmament. It wasn't falling… it floated, as if the planet itself welcomed it. Its form was feline, but colossal. Its musculature was compact—perfect. Its fur shone like living obsidian. And its eyes… two golden suns, ancient and wise.

"You came back," said the Puma, with a voice that didn't come from its mouth, but from the air itself.

"You came back… and still, you've learned nothing."

Rob stepped forward, the wind shattering around him. His aura was no longer of this world. It was heavier than the atmosphere. His sword floated at his side, vibrating across multiple dimensions.

"You killed the weak Rob.""I came to bury him."

First Clash

The Puma didn't answer. It simply vanished—and reappeared milliseconds later, a claw already in motion.

Rob activated Leap just in time. The Puma's claw struck an entire mountain behind him…and erased it from the map.

It didn't collapse. It didn't crumble.It disappeared.

Rob emerged in mid-air, spinning, his sword blazing with dark energy.

"Unstoppable Edge: Third Layer!""Abyssal Impact!"

The slash was so fast that space bent in two directions before exploding. The Puma took the hit to the torso…and stepped back for the first time.

Reality Breaks

Both foes paused for a moment. Around them, the mountain range collapsed in silence—as if the world wanted to watch the duel… without interfering.

"This time… you won't kill me," Rob said."Because this time… I came to break my fate."

The Puma growled. Its roar was not sound. It was a gravitational pulse that split the sky.And the real battle began.

The Claw That Cut the Soul - Total Collision

The mountains cracked like thin ice. The valleys inverted.Space, sound—even gravity—failed.

The Puma moved like a living shadow, shifting position with every blink.Rob, for his part, was no longer human in any conventional sense. He teleported with surgical precision using Leap, unleashed conceptual slashes with Unstoppable Edge, and each of his moves altered the atmosphere for kilometers.

The Survival System registered nothing.

[Reading Error: Conflict Beyond Dimensional Parameters]

Both combatants were more than physical entities. They were principles colliding. Pasts clashing with futures.

The Blow That Reopened the Wound

The Puma roared, charging condensed solar energy into its throat. When it released it, it wasn't a beam.It was a vision.

Rob was engulfed in light… And suddenly…

He was back in the street. Matthew screamed his name. Victoria stared at him while holding a crying Amélie in her arms. And the Puma, just like back then, appeared from behind. And Rob wasn't fast enough. He never arrived in time.

Rob collapsed to the ground. His sword dimmed for a moment. His hands trembled.

"No…""Not again…""NOT AGAIN!"

The Puma appeared in front of him, unhurried.

"You're still the same broken child."

"You can't protect what you love. You only know how to destroy."

The Scream That Set Him Free

Then Rob heard a small voice. It wasn't real.It wasn't there. But he felt it.

"Daddy… you're not weak."

"You… love us more than your fear."

"Get up."

It was Amélie.

Rob clenched his teeth. His heart beat like a supernova. His sword lit up again… But this time, with white light.

"You want to see who I am now…?""Then go blind!"

Rob stood up.Not with hatred. With resolve. And the air around him shattered.

For the first time, the Puma felt it: Danger.

Rob was no longer fighting for the past. Now he fought for the right to choose his future. And that kind of strength… cannot be measured. Only feared.

The Truth Within the Fragments

The Awakening of the Void

The Puma launched another triple claw strike, each one opening a portal of destructive force that disintegrated mountains. Rob didn't dodge. He leapt forward.

The black sword vibrated… and shattered into multiple floating blades, each one emitting a unique frequency.

[Advanced Technique – World Devourer: Absolute Fragmentation ACTIVATED]

It wasn't a slash. It was a swarm of judgments. Each blade searched for a weakness. Each blade remembered. And all of them sliced through reality.

"This… can't be," the Puma murmured as it saw its chest pierced. Its hind legs gave way. Its fur began to dim. The energy that made it untamable… was fading.

The Roar That Breaks Logic

In desperation, the Puma unleashed its hidden ability:

"Dominion Cycle: Instinct Reversal"

For 10 seconds, the Puma accessed a portion of SSS-level power. The world turned negative. The sky bled inward. The entire mountain range began to collapse in reverse time.

And Rob… remained motionless. Not out of fear. But because he finally understood.

"This isn't strength."

"This is your creator's whim."

The Technique That Shouldn't Exist

Rob closed his eyes. And in silence, he disappeared. Not in body. In idea.

When he reappeared, his sword vibrated with a new frequency.

Singularity Slash: The Wound That Cannot Be Closed

The world trembled. Rob struck.

And he didn't destroy flesh. He didn't erase energy. He cut the Puma's very existence as a "superior being. "He stripped it of its place atop the chain. He made it equal.

The Puma fell to the ground, gasping. Without strength. Without voice.

Human in its defeat.

And for the first time… it looked at Rob with respect.

"You are… more… than… a lifeform."

Rob didn't smile. He didn't shout victory. He simply lowered his sword. And calmly said:

"I wasn't born to be more than anyone."

"But today…I broke the last chain that tied me to the past."

And as the Puma's body dissolved into light…

The system resonated with a voice that shook the planet:

[CONGRATULATIONS. USER "ROB" HAS ASCENDED TO LEVEL SSNEW CLASSIFICATION: PLANETARY-LEVEL TRANSCENDENT GUARDIAN]

The New Air of the World

From Antarctica to the ruins of Tokyo, a single wave of energy swept across the Earth. Invisible. Silent. But filled with truth.

In every bastion, the Survival System projected the same message,as if the planet itself was finally exhaling:

[ROB – SS LEVEL ACHIEVEDUnlocked Rank: TRANSCENDENT GUARDIANExistence confirmed beyond standard evolutionary limits]

And in the streets, in the shelters, in the command centers… people broke into tears. Not of sorrow. But of relief.

Global Reactions

"He did it!" shouted a child in Ghana.

"It's real! Someone went beyond!" cried a woman in the Philippines.

"That man… is hope incarnate," said a survivor in Peru.

In La Paz, Victoria held Amélie while watching the screen. The little one stared in awe and asked:

"Mommy… is Daddy a god?"

Victoria smiled.

"No, sweetheart. He's something harder than that. He's a man who chose not to give up."

The Enemy Reacts

In its fractured dimension, the faceless creature watched in fury.

"He ascended… And did it outside of my control."

It screamed. And the scream shattered entire moons in its realm.

"Then I'll send the true heirs! The next step… will be irreversible!"

Around it, massive silhouettes began to emerge from the void. Each one… larger than the Puma. Older. Closer to SSS rank.

The Silence After the Chaos

Rob floated above the mountain range, the breeze lifting his torn cloak. His body bled. His soul pulsed with a new light. But his face… was human.

"I did it," he whispered.

"I'm ready for what's coming."

He looked toward the horizon .No longer with fear. But with responsibility.

As the sun rose over South America, the whole world finally recognized his true name: The Guardian of Humanity.

And for the first time in millennia, the stars seemed to bow toward Earth… to watch the man who defied the gods.
