Chapter 15 - Chapter 15:Counterattack on Earth: The Rise of Hope and Betrayal

After the blue light appeared in the monitoring room, Rai reappeared in his main body.

"Rai, what happened? Did your Khodam lose?" asked Nadien, who was monitoring hundreds of screens in front of her.

"Yeah, I was killed!" replied Rai.

"Check it out, when will Angel recover?" asked Nadien.

Rai checked Angel's status.

Name: White-Winged Angel

Level: 57

Synchronization Rate: 15%

Type: Celestial Humanoid

Planet Link: Mars

Affinity: Air / Light

Status: Dead / Inactive (Recovery: 5 hours)

"It looks like it will take 5 hours for recovery," said Rai.

"Alright, what happened?"

"It seems a powerful alien attacked the place where I was," said Rai.

Nadien directed the screen to the location of Angel's battle.

The ruins of the city were clearly visible, and a woman with large bat wings and dark intimidating skin was seen. That bat-winged woman easily killed the White Lion Khodam belonging to the school principal.

"A powerful alien," muttered Nadien while typing on the phone.

"Report, in the XXX school zone, there is a powerful alien, estimated threat level 5 or 6," said Nadien.

After hanging up the phone, Nadien and Rai calmed down.

Rai watched on the screen the spectacular battle that was taking place—a colossal Garuda majestically stomping on a spaceship.

Even some giant dragons, mythical creatures, elemental beings, and legendary beings—Khodams owned by humans—were fighting hard to defend against the alien spacecraft.

Among the large spacecraft, there was a small one flying erratically, then rushing to Earth and landing on Mount Lawo, which was the Khodam of General Joko.

"It's time for you to fulfill your promise," said the mountain.

Mora nodded, holding a phone that looked like alien technology.

"Listen, we have successfully destroyed the mushroom bomb production!" said Mora.

General Varnak, with General Zurek behind him, exchanged glances.

General Varnak immediately shouted,

"Listen, release all the aliens we've captured, put on masks and armor, then attack.

Destroy Earth!"

The large spaceship piloted by General Varnak quickly moved forward.

Nuclear missiles continued to be fired, but the Mars Bat spacecraft managed to shoot lasers that neutralized the missiles before they could hit.

As the Mars Bat spaceship approached Earth's atmosphere, it released a large number of smaller ships filled with Mars Bats. These advanced aircraft faced off against the diverse Khodams on Earth.

The fierce battle intensified as more Mars Bats entered Earth's atmosphere. At that moment, they were all within the range of the mushroom bombs.

Then, millions of mushroom bombs shot toward the sophisticated Mars spacecraft. Explosion after explosion echoed through the atmosphere, causing the sky to appear white.

Fast and highly agile Khodams attacked the ships, aiming for one small hole.

Through that small hole, smoke from the mushroom bombs began to infiltrate the Mars Bat spacecraft.

Due to Mora's cunning, most of the armor and masks worn by the Mars Bats malfunctioned.

Seeing numerous Mars Bats falling from the sky, General Varnak was furious.

"Damn it! How could there be holes in the masks and armor?"

General Zurik responded, "We have been betrayed. That Havoc insect has turned against us."

"Even if our troops are defeated, I will fight to the end."

"Calm down, Varnak. I've already taken measures to prevent this. Let's order all Mars Bats to turn back and head to the Ain Cada 098 ship. I've prepared spare masks and armor there."

"Excellent, you truly are reliable," Varnak replied.

Most of the Mars Bats then retreated to ship 098 and replaced their armor and masks.

"Zurek, what's next?" asked Varnak. Although he was stronger, he acknowledged that his companion's intellect was more dependable.

"Most of Earth has become ruins. Most of their weapons are destroyed. When Khodams are defeated, they turn into blue light. We must kill them while they are in human form—that seems to be their weakness."

"They need time to recover their Khodam, so during that recovery period is our only chance to kill them," Zurek concluded.

"Alright, listen up, troops! Mighty Mars Bats, destroy the Earth!"

Thus, most of the Mars Bat forces resumed their assault on Earth. However, due to the betrayal, nearly half of the Mars forces had perished—2 billion soldiers reduced by nearly 800 million. It was truly an astounding defeat.

Zurek himself was furious and led the large spaceship, along with his troops, toward Mount Lawo, where the Havoc Spiders were gathered.

Twenty million of their forces looked small compared to Zurek's 200 million troops.

Even their aircraft were less advanced. Mora shivered as she looked up to the sky, seeing millions of Mars Bat spacecraft targeting her.

"Stay calm." A calm yet reassuring voice echoed from the massive mountain.

Suddenly, the mountain's peak turned red, and a powerful burst of scorching magma shot skyward, piercing the atmosphere and visible from a great distance.

The eruption destroyed a significant portion of the Mars Bat aircraft led by Zurek. Not only that, but the magma then transformed into humanoid magma elementals that began slaughtering the Mars Bat forces.

Meanwhile, General Varnak, the mighty warrior, was facing the Golden-Feathered Garuda Emperor.

The two ruthless generals exchanged fierce glances before launching their attacks.

Without warning, Varnak shot forward with incredible speed, launching a powerful punch toward Garuda Emperor. Garuda swiftly blocked with his golden claw, sparks flying from the impact.

Garuda then spun around, using his golden wings to slash at Varnak. The sharp edge grazed Varnak's chest, leaving a wound that healed almost instantly. Varnak chuckled, feeling his strength grow even more.

"The longer we fight, the stronger I become!" Varnak shouted, his body now dripping with sweat. Suddenly, he gathered his sweat, solidifying it and shooting it like metal projectiles toward Garuda.

Garuda deftly swept his wings, creating a golden windstorm that obliterated the projectiles. Not stopping there, Garuda dived down and struck Varnak with his golden claw, sending the alien general crashing through several buildings.

Rising from the rubble, Varnak grinned, his power having surged even further. This time, he concentrated his sweat on his fist, making it glow like heated steel.

In a flash, Varnak leaped up and smashed his fist into Garuda's chest. The impact pushed Garuda back, but his golden body absorbed most of the force.

"Mere strength isn't enough," Garuda declared firmly.

Garuda then summoned a golden blade from his wings and spun rapidly, unleashing a series of golden wind slashes. Varnak dodged swiftly, but some slashes managed to cut his flesh.

Realizing the battle was getting intense, Varnak pushed his power to the limit, transforming his sweat into sharp, metallic armor around his body. At full strength, he lunged at Garuda, striking the massive golden wings hard enough to cause fractures.

But Garuda wasn't about to give in. He soared high into the air, his body glowing brightly, and unleashed a mighty roar that shook the sky. "Golden Claw of Destruction!"

Garuda Emperor dived down, claws aimed at Varnak. The strike pierced through Varnak's sweat shield, crushing his defenses and causing his bones to shatter under the pressure.
