Chapter 4 - Chapter four

Scene: silent suffering 

Int : family living room 

 A lingering sorrow hangs over the once vibrant living room. Daisy (16) and Fredo (8) sits in hushed silence, their eyes reflecting the absence left by their mother. The air is heavy with unspoken grief.

Daisy: ( whispering to Fredo) it's going to be okay, buddy, we'll get through this.

 The house, once filled with laughter, now echoes with the solemnity of loss. Daisy takes the responsibilities of caring for Fredo, masking her pain to shield him from the harsh reality.

 Fredo : (looking around) where's mom? Why is everywhere so quiet?

Daisy: (choosing her words carefully) mom, had to go far away for a while, but Fredo we are still a family.

 Daisy struggles to maintain a sense of normality, navigating the challenges of daily life with out their mother. In school her grades slip as the weight of unspoken trauma affects her ability to concentrate. Her once vibrant personality dims and she withdraws, unable to voice the pain that grips her. 

 In class room, Daisy sits in silence, unable to articulate the torment within. The teachers noticed the change, but are unaware of the tragedy that has befallen her . The once confident student becomes a silent sufferer, grappling with grief, responsibilities and void left by her mother.
