Kiara was sneaking into the house, she took off her shoes and tiptoed in but the lights went on and she froze on a spot
" Looks like someone came back early" Peter said
" Seriously, you almost gave me an hear attack" she said
" Relax, no one is home. Just me and you, just us. I thought you said you were spending the night there"
" Yeah, it was meat to be a sleepover and early tomorrow morning we're out but change of plans"
" Change of plans or parent came back and you have to make a run for it"
" Kind of .. wait how did you know that"
" Where you following me?"
" I'm not that jobless"
" You... You were the one who made them come home"
" Anything to keep you close to me. I just made two to three calls and someone stood in for them"
" Why must you behave so reckless?"
" I thought girls like it when guys behave reckless"
" No, we don't. I don't know if Jenna likes it, but I don't"
" Seriously, must you bring Jenna into this"
" Yeah, I'll bring Jenna into anything as long as you keep acting recklessly"
" C'mon, we both want this. Why are you fighting against it, I want you. I want you so bad, and I know you don't want to commit. No strings attached then, no hard feelings" he said moving closer to her
" I'm tired, I need to rest" Kiara said going upstairs.
She was about to take her clothes off when Peter barged in
" Jesus Peter, can't you knock " she said
" I'm sorry, I forgot. Not use to knocking in my own home yet" he said
" What do you want?"
" I figured out that you haven't had dinner, so I came to ask what you would like for dinner"
" You really trying hard"
" Yep"
" But put that effort into something more meaningful, it would help" she said
" Spag then" he said leaving
"Geez, what his problem" Kiara thought as she went in the bathroom.
She went down for dinner in her night robe, and bonnet on.
" How is it?" Peter asked as she took a bite
" It's good"
" Just good?"
" Yeah" she said
" The thing about me and Jenna..."
" I don't wanna hear it"
" My mum wants that to happen, I don't know how she manage to brainwash my mum but my mum thinks she's best for me"
" Then do what your mum thinks"
" Have I ever done what my mum thinks" he smirked
" Whatever, don't bore me"
" You want something interesting huh?"
" I'm fine, thanks for the dinner. It was great" she said getting up
" Not even a good night" he said and she paused, she turned and looked at him
"Would that do you any good?" She said approaching him
" Not really, but I could use that to have a good night sleep" he said
" Really" she said bending down to his level
" Yeah" he said looking at her eyes down to her lips back to her eyes again as he was slowly closing the distance between them
" Good night" she whispered in his ear and stood upright
" I have school tomorrow, I don't know about you" she said going upstairs
" She is driving me nuts" Peter thought
The next day, they all went to school as usual and after class they had sport. The girls were changing the dressing room.
" I still can't believe this, I'm going for basketball try out today. I gotta make the team" cyma said
" You sure, cause you don't look like someone that plays" Kiara said
" I do actually, I use to play back in the hood with the guys. They thought me well you know, I end up beating them in their own game " cyma said
" I don't think playing in the hood is the same as playing in the team, I mean that is rough but this you are going to... I don't know"
" Relax, I just need to know the rules that's all"
" Alright then, I'll be rooting for you. I also need to get to the court before the coach gets there" Kiara said putting on her cap
" You look good, sexy infact" cyma said
" Just go do your thing" Kiara said carrying her bag
" You bet I will, and don't disappoint me out there" cyma said as Kiara was leaving
" Sure" Kiara said as she exit the room
She bumped into Leo on her way to the the courtyard.
" Hey" she said
" Hi" he said casually
" Something wrong?" She asked
" No, everything's fine" he said
" Okay, I would have love to chat more but I gotta go to the court"she said and he looked at her from head to toe
" Tennis huh?" He said
" Yeah, I heard my mum was about excellent player. She was the best captain that ever lived, and I'm going to break her record and continue the legacy" she said which made him remember what Vinny's mum said about Clara being the tennis team captain.
" Yeah right, suits your family well" he said harshly and left
" What was that about" she thought but she carried on anywhere and she was actually late . The coach was already giving them orientation and she tried to sneak in the circle
" First day and you're late Banks" the coach said
" I'm sorry mam, our last class got extended" she said and the coach scoffed
" One thing I hate the most is excuses, own up to your mistake and don't try to cover up for it. Got that?"
" Yes mam"
" It's coach, coach Lari"
" Yes coach Lari"
" As I was saying, this is your captain Angela chess and your assistant captain here is Victoria Andrews. If you need anything, they'll direct you and if it's above them you can visit the new assistant coach, Coach Henry. Any questions?"
" What happened to head coach Silas?" A girl asked
" He was transferred, he got promoted" coach Lari said
"So from now on, I'm your head coach. Coach Henry should be here any minute, I'll leave you to practice now" coach Lari added and left
Kiara sighed as she brought out her racket, it was her mum's racket. It was a bit old and rusty but she believe it was a national treasure, that racket had won a lot of award and medals.
" Late on your first day?, I hope you'll make the team" Angela said passing by and Kiara scoffed
She wasn't expecting any drama but the drama came to her anyway.
" That's not how to hold a racket" Victoria said showing her how
" Thank you" she said
" Do you even know how to play, you can't even hold a racket right" Victoria said leaving
" I guess no one is nice here" Kiara thought as she moved up to the court
" Newbie, serve" Angela said tossing a ball to Kiara and she was dumbfounded
" Serve?, me?" Kiara asked
" Do you know what a service is?, seriously why are you here?" Angela yelled
" I'm here to play, so if you be a little calm and teach maybe I'll get a little hang of it" Kiara snorted back and Victoria smiled
" Someone who talks back at Angela, she'll be a good one" Victoria thought
" How dare you talk to your captain like that?, out of here. Now!" Angela said
" I don't think that would be possible, she's under my care not yours. You should attend to your subordinates" Victoria said and then faced Kiara
" It's rude taking back at your captain, you're benched for today. Out of the court" Victoria said
" I .."
" No argument, out!' Victoria yelled and Kiara went to sit
" I can't believe it, my very first day and I'm benched" Kiara thought
