"This is humiliation, utter humiliation!" Sheon, who now has a humanoid figure—young man with long black hair and purple eyes—said as he walked amongst the cluster of humans in the street.
"I never imagined I'll be stuck here for over two hundred human-years, and I haven't been able to find a host."
His expression was that of irritation as he phased through the humans like a ghost, no one could see or feel him, but he could see everyone—everything.
"These weak beings don't even live up to four hell days, and yet think of themselves as the supreme predator."
Sheon roughly calculated the time difference between hell and earth and he estimated it to be fifty human-years for one hell-day. Meaning, two hundred human-years equates to four hell-days.
"They reject grace and bask themselves in meaningless pleasure. Tsk, how irritating." He clicked his tongue in annoyance as he made his way towards a very tall tree, flew up to the tallest branch and lie down on it.
He would come back there to rest whenever he was unsuccessful at possessing a human, which was always.
Two hundred years ago when he arrived, he started out with his plan of seeking a host even as a snowflake.
But no matter what he did, he couldn't get to possess a single human as he would phase through them like a ghost.
He became desperate, enough to try possessing a spirit but it's outcome was still the same.
It was then it hit him: He has been reduced to be even more pathetic than ghosts. His existence holds no meaning anymore, his power, no authority.
He had become ten times worse than a wingless devil king; he had become NOTHING.
But his fate was going to change fifty years later when the Earth's realm suddenly collided with other world's.
There was an interconnectedness of planes and Earth was a victim. Sheon was the first to notice as the ignorant human saw the otherworldly energy sipping into their world as glittering particles.
There was an earthquake , one that humans wull latee get to call the DIVISION 150 years later.
This earthquake was like no other, an effect of the otherworldly energy influx which was too much for earth to handle. This earthquake divided the earth into three. Now, you can literally reach the ends of the earth.
Earth became a more suitable place for Sheon, as he started regaining more of his power, got a humanoid form and continued searching for host since the odds were now in his favor.
Like that one hundred and fifty years passed and Sheon was just feeling irritated on top of a tree branch.
Apart from the amazing ability of humans to adapt, nothing else about them impressed Sheon.
"Huh? What's that?" Sheon jerked his eyes open. He felt a link. A link to someone far, a possible host with the highest compatibility he has ever felt.
He didn't want to get his hopes high, but this link he was feeling, it was strong...too strong that Sheon was certain he found his host.
He smirked
"Is today going to be my lucky day?"
He stood up
"Well, let's see." He flew towards the link.

Darkling's Empire was the city's crown jewel — an estate of unimaginable opulence and magical complexity, stretching wide enough to dwarf two golf courses. Its defenses are legendary; even the weakest servant could humble a guild master.
Inside the Darkling's compound was the definition of luxury. Many mansions stood tall in their respective positions with fancy designs with gold. In the middle of the garden was a four-winged lion waterfall made of complete gold.
The Darkling's building is not your average building, the system was built to improve mana control, so everything you had to access, dealt with mana and how good you could control it.
Too much would destroy it and too little wouldn't move it, so you had to be perfect to work for the Darkling's and of course their pay was enough to make retired guild masters of high ranks to apply.
There was a particular building, bigger than the rest, and unlike like all of the others, it was in plain black paint–It was the main building. Mostly for Mr. Darkling and his wife, his children had separate building, reason being that his aura could suffocate them.
A tall man dressed in black and white corporate walked in the hallway. A golden name tag glinted on his coat: Charles
A tall, fair-skinned man with black hair with strings of grey and blue eyes.
He reached the end of the wall, beside it was a heavy flat surfaced brick, it was black in color. Charles got on it, infusing it with mana, it glowed light blue, then it started to float upwards to the last floor, then he stepped out, the stone returned.
At the edge of where he stepped into was an orb, with enough mana applied to it, one can call the stone back up.
Without hesitation, Charles strode down the obsidian hallway, mana flickering faintly beneath his shoes. He stopped at the massive twin doors and bowed deeply.
'Sire, news from the mistress,' he said, voice taut with anticipation.
"Go ahead." A deep calm voice said.
"The mistress has delivered." He said and waited a few seconds before the giant double door creaked open by itself.
As the giant door slowly opened, it revealed a tall, fair-skinned man with jet-black hair and blood-red eyes buttoning up his white shirt: Darus Darkling, the brain behind the success of the Darkling's and one of the most powerful men the human race had to offer.
"Get everything ready for the ritual, the kids too." He instructed as he walks past Charles.
"Yes sir." Charles replied as he walked behind him. He already sent others to inform the kids ahead of time.
It was time to welcome a new devil.
