True to his word, Alaric has everything ready for them to start the long trip back to Barrowmere within a handful of days. However, Lenore didn't anticipate all the preparations he made. The first surprise was the boxes of gloves that appeared the day after their fateful visit to the Temple. They were stacked on top of each other into a small mountain, and Lenore was encouraged to look through them. She was told that she could leave any pairs she didn't like behind, and the servants at the townhouse would take care of them.
