Diana's face hardened.
"Ruin my morning," she bit out.
Stefanos arched a brow, a smirk curling his lips. "You are a little cunning bitch, you know that?"
"No. Enlighten me."
"Just a few days ago, you were all over me. And now?" His eyes flicked to the crumble of the pancake on the edge of her lips. "You're running your mouth with me like you always did."
His touch made her skin crawl, and if there was anything she wanted to do at this moment, it was to put distance between them.
"I only kissed you," she said, grabbing his wrist. "I don't recall there being any changes to the way I talk. Besides, I offered to have things fixed between us. You refused. What more do you want me to do? I might as well let it go, no?"
"You!" Her words were provoking him. She tried to get his hand off her chin, but he held tighter, drawing a hiss from her.
"Let go!"
Stefanos didn't. He leaned even closer, far too close, his breath brushing her face and lips tilting toward hers.
