Void ling stood still, Zero Dominion settled within them, while Blaze Vortex stretched, flames fading from their fingertips as they shook of the last remnants of battle. But neither of them truly rested--because Daemonis was Number 3. And that meant they had to face Number 2... then Number 1... and finally, the ULTIMATE NUMBER 0
Blaze Vortex:
(Grinning, though edged with caution)
"So Daemonis was Number 3. That means we've still got two stronger enemies ahead. I dunno if that existes me or scares the hell outta me."
Void ling:
(His expression did not change)
"Daemonis was powerful, but he was restricted by hunger. Number 2 will be something far beyond that-- something that does not rely on consumption or destruction. It will be something that exists outside of definition itself."
Blaze Vortex:
(Serious considering)
"Which means Zero Dominion might not control them, and inferior leap might not erase them. That's what you've saying, huh?"
Void ling:
(Nodded, his voice lower)
"Yes. Number 2 does not exist within reality's limits. He is beyond it."
Blaze Vortex:
(Half--wary)
"Alright, so what? We fight Number 2, and somehow we will beat Number 1, and then we will deal with--- The Ultimate 0, by the way who the hell is that guy?"
Void ling:
(Gaze darkened)
"I am believing he is the one who precedes all numbers. The one who existed before ranking was necessary. The one who--by definition holds no limits."
Blaze Vortex:
(Grinning though the gravity of the situation)
"So let me get this straight. We just wiped out Number 3. Now, we face something worse. And after that, we face something even more powerful. And then, after all of that, we face something that was never meant to be fought at all."
Void ling remained silent. He knew this is far from over. The next enemy would be beyond anything they have ever encountered before.
Blaze Vortex:
(Serious tone)
"We've been through a lot of battles, but this? This is beyond anything we've dealt with before.
Void ling:
(Low, Contemplative)
"We know the ranking exists for a reason. It is not arbitrary. Number 2 will be stronger. If not stronger than us."
Blaze Vortex:
(Serious, considering)
"So what's the game plan? I mean, I know neither of us are the let's sit and plan everything type, but--there's no way we just walk into whatever Number 2 is."
Void ling:
(Soft)
"No approach will be sufficient if based only on prior conflicts. We must adjust. The rules are changing."
Blaze Vortex:
(Grinning, but thoughtful )
"Yeah, and then there's Seraphina. We're fighting to stop these numbered beings, but she's already with Ultimate Number 0. No matter what happens, we have to get her out."
Void ling's gaze flickered slightly, something unreadable passing through their expression--but it was fleeting, gone before Blaze could call it out.
Blaze Vortex:
(Teasing Void)
"You know, you act all detached, but I see it, Void. You're thinking about her, aren't you?"
Void ling:
(Quiet, distant)
"She was taken because of this conflict, it is necessary that she must be returned."
Blaze Vortex:
(Mock with frustration)
"Alright, alright, Mr. Emotionally--Detached--Omniscient--Being, keep telling yourself that."
Void king did not respond to that jab, but Blaze knew. He always knew. And that truth hung between, unspoken. But for now, strategy mattered more than emotions. Because whatever came next was far beyond them.
Blaze let out a slow breath, rubbing the back of his neck as he processed everything they had just been through.
Blaze Vortex;
(Sharpness tone)
"You know, for a fight thar was supposed to be the end of Daemonis, it doesn't exactly feel like we're getting a break. We won. But tell me why it still feels like we're standing at the edge of something worse."
Void ling's Gaze remained locked forward, distant yet precise, his mind already dissecting what came next. There was no celebration--there was only what must follow.
Void ling:
(Low measured)
"Because Number 3 was not the limit. Daemonis was only a construct of hunger, bound by his abyss nature, fighting to consume. But Number 2, and Then Number 1, exists beyond that need. They do not fight to devor or destroy. They fight for reasons that are woven beyond the structure of conflict itself."
Blaze Vortex:
(Crossing his arms)
"Alright, so if Daemonis was nothing compared to what's ahead, then what exactly are Number 2 and Number 1? If they're stronger, then what makes them different?"
Void ling:
(Soft and resolute)
"They do not exist within the same dimensional structure as Daemonis. Number 3 fought within the limits of what could be understood--his abyss was destructive, yes, but it still followed the rules of existence. Number 2 and Number 1 do not."
Blaze Vortex:
(Grinning with wariness)
"So what you're saying is... we just fought someone playing by the rules. And now, we're walking into something that isnt."
Void ling:
(Voice deepening)
"Yes. Number 2 will be something outside Daemonis abyss--not stronger in the way power is measured, but above him in concept. And Number 1 will stand even beyond that."
Blaze Vortex:
(A sharp laugh)
"Great. Just great. We're fighting up the chain of enemies that get less comprehensible with every power."
But Void ling was no finished. Their gaze darkened slightly, their voice carrying a quiet weight, an understanding that stretched beyond normal perception.
Void ling:
(Soft)
"And then... there is ULTIMATE NUMBER 0
Blaze Vortex:
(Serious and focused)
"He must be powerful in different ways right?"
Void ling:
(Calm and precise)
"Ultimate Number 0 does not exist in the same Dimensional structure as Number 2 or 1. He precede the concept of Power and ranking, the concept of limit. He do not fight within reality--he hold Dominion over something beyond it entirely."
Blaze Vortex:
(Low and frustrated )
"And Seraphina is caught in it. You sure you don't wanna rethink your whole logical detachment thing, Void? Because this isn't just some theoretical battle anymore."
The words Void ling said hung in the air, as he kept silent and spoke to Blaze.
