The narrow alleyway stretch forth for eternity.
It was morning but the alleyway cramped between two enormous buildings lack the warmth and illumination of the sun.
It was dark,bleak and eerie.
"Ha...."
Under the bleakness Valarie desperately ranned through the pathway. Her breath ragged and tiresome as an intense heat began to feel her lungs.
"Ha..."
Her shoes were dirted from the wet concentrate, her clothing drenched in sweat while her hair one's neatly trimmed had grown scattered.
She ranned with all her might, flaring her arm around like a beast in pain. She was tired, out of breath and sore all over but she didn't dare stop.
Tiredness was negated by fear.
Fear of what was behind her.
"Ha...ha....."
Reaching near the fences she had to scale, she quickly grabbed a hold of the metallic fence, her wet fingers curled within the gaps.
This was the fourth one by now.
The other three she had effortless leaped over but now she didn't have enough strength to mutter to jump over the fences.
If only she could use her aura.
Crawling up the fence like a savage beast, she soon reached the top then jumped to the otherside almost stumbling off her feets to the ground.
"Nono..."
Narrowly regaining her balance, her right knee scrapped against the ground creating a light wound which caused her to groan in agony.
Grabbing the walls to avoid falling in pain, she began a steady ran, her right leg bleeding from the knee tripping her a few occasions.
"It hurts." She thought her vision wavering a bit.
She wondered why she had to go through this.
Why was someone attacking her?
What has she done to deserve this..all she ever wanted was to go to school, train hard and get her revenge but she was lacking in aura and willpower.
Everything she had envisioned during her training with her master has now gone to waste.
A stalker was now threatening her peace.
A teacher whom scared her a bit had taken an interest in her and worst of all a fool would probably lose his life because he tried to save her.
"I hate ranning."
Stopping beside a dumpster, she looked to the ground, where a puddle of water reflected her miserable apperenace back at her.
Her eyes were full fo tears, her nose ranning and her face flashed from being out of breath.
Right now the only Seven she could see herself part of now was the loser Seven and exactly because of that she couldn't see herself continue to ran.
Her fate was already sealed anyway.
Thump!
Behind her she could hear a rhythm of steady footsteps approaching her in an unhuried manner.
Slow and steady was the tune.
And that kind of nonchalant behavior not only scared her but also annoyed her.
Why did she have to ran were she would be catch eitherway?
What did she have to ran when she was being made a fool off?
She was a regretful person so she knew if she ranned and at the end of the day made it, she will be hunted the rest of her life by how much of a mockery the assassin was.
"A techquie for ranning... Master never thought me that."
Calming her beating heart with a bit of lame humor, she turned her miserable body and faced her attacker whom had came to a halt right infornt of her.
"Resistance is futile."
Within the hollowness of their hood, a confident voice echoced as the assassin pushed back their cloak to revealed a set of futuristic metal armor underneath.
Crismon vein like lines pulsed throughout the armor, circulating what seems to be blood...no mana through them.
"Who the fuck are you?"
Standing tall to not appear intimidated, she knitted her brows but...
"Resistance of futile." They repeated moving their metallic gauntlet towards her.
"Now."
Dodging their grabbed, she darted foward, her arms unstreched as she attempted to tackle down her opponent.
The only chance of winning was to break their balance and as long as she caught them ofguard she could but she had made on fatal misjudgements.
"Huh?"
Her inability to tell her opponent was using reinforcement not on themselves but the suit so all she felt was her body crashing into a diamond like surface after which her attempt came to a halt.
"Do not resist."
Looking up at them in fear, Valarie found their arms raised and their fist clenched as they descended on her like a hammer, crashing deep onto her shoulder and craving her into the pavement.
A miniature sonic boom followed spreading into the surrounding and destroying all that was fragile.
"Do not resist."
With their suit glowing omnious, they crouched and grabbed a hold of Valarie now with a dislocated shoulder and tore her wounded body out the wet concrete before tossing her onto their shoulders.
"Objective accomplished."
Pulling down their hood to reveal a blank obsidian fabric like mask with following red hair visible from the back, the assassin pressed a small earphone in their right ear.
[Good now get her out the city before the witch notices.]
"I'm afraid I can't do that." The assassin remarked.
[What why not?]
"The variable has appeared one's more."
As the spoke, the assassin looked up, their gaze falling on a young blonde man approaching from the other end.
He carried a pair of two silver dagger in both hands, his sapphire eyes glowing with erriee coldness as he casually walked toward them.
The assassin making no attempts at retreating stood still until finally they looked down on the blonde man whom stood a mere inch from them.
One of his dagger's burning with a golden light was soon lifted and placed around the assassins neck as a snarled formed on his lips.
"Are you the students guardian by chance?"
"...."
"Might I ask you name?"
"..."
"Are you deaf or braindead."
"None." The assassin finally responded the air around them growing tense.
"Good.."
Leaning forward till his breath brushed against their mask, a deadly glow filled his eyes as he continued in a much more calm voice,"....well I can't allow you to take her."
"Why?"
With their hold on Valarie tightening they also snarled, a clearly mockery in their tone.
"Heh... because my precious student hasn't signed her attendance."
What followed was a solid kick straight into the assassin's jaw.
