Emma looked up and suddenly noticed Hilary studying her. Forcing a strained smile, she was about to greet her.
However, Hilary turned her head away, pretending not to see her.
Emma frowned slightly. This little girl, dressed plainly, was clearly from an ordinary, unsophisticated background.
From the very beginning, Emma had felt no fondness toward her.
