"The Demon of Destruction (3)
---
"Fairy Tail...? The strongest Guild of Fiore?"
Shanks nodded, his eyes never leaving the chaos before him. Without hesitation, he stepped forward, his palms glowing with Healing Magic. A warm light spread over Ur's wounds, stopping the bleeding in an instant.
"Thank you," Ur said, her voice strained, but she bowed slightly in gratitude.
Shanks gave a quick nod and turned his attention to Gray and Lyon, still unconscious.
"You need to get them out of here," he said firmly.
Ur hesitated, her eyes shifting from Deliora to Shanks.
"We'll handle it. You'll just be dead weight if you stay," Shanks added, his tone unyielding.
After a moment, Ur nodded, her resolve hardening. She lifted Gray over her shoulder and grabbed Lyon by the arm, retreating toward the ruins for shelter.
Shanks turned, locking his eyes on the demon in the distance.
Gildarts and Laxus were already in the thick of it.
Gildarts slammed his fist into Deliora's arm, crushing it with his raw power. But, like some twisted magic, the arm began to regenerate almost immediately.
[Lightning Dragon's Roar]
Laxus roared, unleashing a bolt of destructive lightning that tore through Deliora's foot.
Seizing the moment, Gildarts followed up with a blast of his magic.
[All Crush]
The force of his attack sent shockwaves that leveled the area around them. Deliora's body crumpled under the pressure, but moments later, it regenerated again, completely unscathed.
"This bastard's playing with us," Gildarts growled, brushing off the dust from his hands.
The three stood together, waiting.
"Magic isn't enough," Shanks muttered, his eyes scanning the beast.
"It keeps regenerating," Gildarts added, frowning.
Laxus narrowed his eyes. "Watch its horns!" he shouted. "It keeps covering them. That's its weak spot!"
Shanks watched closely. Deliora's body kept regenerating, but its horns were always protected. Gildarts tried another blast aimed at one of the horns, but it only chipped away at the surface. Deliora retaliated with another beam, cutting through the ruins like a knife.
"Magic's useless," Gildarts said, gritting his teeth.
Laxus dodged another swipe from the demon and grunted. "It's all focused on protecting the horns. That's where its power comes from."
Shanks gripped his sword tightly, focusing his mind.
'Physical attacks. That's the way,' he thought.
"I'll break it," Shanks said, voice calm but confident.
Laxus and Gildarts exchanged glances, both knowing Shanks' strength well.
Before Shanks could move, Deliora released another beam. The ground shattered, stones and debris flying into the air. Shanks leapt back, narrowly avoiding the attack.
"Tch... this thing's a pain," he muttered under his breath.
Just then, the sound of cracking ice filled the air.
Ur had returned. Massive chains of ice erupted from the ground, binding Deliora's limbs momentarily.
"You have one shot!" Ur shouted.
Without wasting a second, Gildarts and Laxus attacked together, their magic keeping Deliora in place.
Shanks took a step forward, his feet digging into the ground as he prepared for his final strike.
BOOM.
The earth cracked beneath him as he dashed forward, a red streak cutting through the dust.
His Haki flared to life, the sheer power of his Conqueror's Haki radiating out in waves. The air itself seemed to tremble from the force.
Deliora froze for a split second as Shanks closed the distance. His blade, blackened by Armament Haki, was a blur.
He swung.
[Divine Departure]
A devastating arc of Haki-infused force ripped through the air. The shockwave tore apart everything in its path, splitting the very ground beneath their feet.
The slash struck Deliora's horns.
CRACK.
The horns shattered, completely obliterated. Not just broken — reduced to dust.
Deliora's massive form spasmed. Its limbs jerked, and its mouth opened in a silent scream as it collapsed.
Without its horns to regenerate, the demon's body began to break apart, dark mist pouring from the gaping wound. The creature could no longer hold its shape.
In seconds, Deliora crumbled into nothing, fading away on the wind.
The battle was over.
Shanks stood, his sword still at his side, breathing steadily despite the intensity of the fight.
Shanks looked around.

Shanks Pov
I looked around. Ur looked the most injured. My eyes moved towards her leg- the leg made out of ice.
Laxus was also a bit injured. There were cuts throughout his body.
My eyes moved towards my father.
...He was not a tiny bit injured. Even I was more injured than him. He gave me a knowing smirk.
"It's over..." Ur exclaimed. Her voice filled with relief.
"Yeah." I replied.
"It was strong." Laxus commented and looked at Gildarts. "You sure look fine."
As soon as Laxus said that Ur also looked at Gildarts. He sheepishly grinned.
"What can I say...ahaha"
He said rubbing the back of his head.
'Yup. He was holding back.'
"Thank you so much for helping us!" Ur suddenly exclaimed bowing a bit to us.
"No worries, Lady." Gildarts said and continued. "Are you Ur?"
Ur nodded. "And I presume you are the Gildarts?"
"The?" Laxus narrowed his eyes.
"Yeah. I heard you are the Strongest in the West." Ur said.
I just stayed silent.
"Nah. I am not." Gildarts replied.
Ur nodded.
"So, are we going back?" I asked to Gildarts who nodded.
"The council will probably send the Reward."
I nodded and with my observation Haki I sensed two boys running towards us.
"It looks like your sons are coming." I joked knowing that they were not his son.
Ur looked behind and just as she turned around. They two could be seen.
"They are my pupils." Ur corrected.
"Ur! Ur!" Both of the two shouted and jumped at Ur, hugging her.
I let them have their moment and walked towards Laxus.
"Oldman. Is it just me or Laxus seems more injured than me." I said with a grin. Gildarts just laughed.
"Both of you are injured."
"So how was the demon?" I asked him as I willed my Healing Magic.
"Just a few years and I will be able to defeat it...alone."
I grinned.
"I could defeat it alone right now."
Laxus nodded. He knew I could.
"But because only Physical Attack works against it."
I shrugged my shoulder.
"A win is a win."
"I guess so."
Just as I healed Laxus. Ur, Gray and Lyon walked over. It seemed Lyon was crying as if his whole world broke while Gray had resolve in his face.
Gildarts had also sat down beside us.
"Brats." Ur commanded and-
"Thank you so much."
"Thank you."
Both of them bowed their heads.
"No worries brat." Gildarts said patting their back. Then suddenly Gray raised his hands.
"Let me join your Guild."
"Me too!" Lyon exclaimed.
'..Change in plot.'
I looked at Ur.
Yup. She was joining as well.
