The Demon of Destruction (2)
(A/N: I only decreased his year by a year or two. Don't worry folks.)
---
The sky twisted into a sickly mix of green and black. Brago was in ruins—buildings toppled, fire raging through the streets, smoke suffocating the air.
And at the heart of it all, standing tall among the chaos-
A demon.
A massive, dark-blue, humanoid creature. The Demon of Destruction. A monster born from the hands of the Black Wizard himself.
Its name was Deliora.
Gray clenched his fists. He realized how foolish he'd been.
Instead of waiting, instead of training for the right moment, he had rushed here dragging Lyon and even their Master, Ur, into this nightmare.
[Ice-Make: Ice Geysers]
Ur slammed her right foot onto the ground. A Magic Circle flared under her as giant pillars of ice erupted upward, slamming into Deliora. The demon was trapped, frozen within a towering column of ice.
CRACK
The ice shattered. Deliora roared, its lime-colored energy snapping through the air as it broke free.
Ur exhaled sharply.
'Strong… way stronger than I thought.'
She braced herself as Deliora charged up a ball of lime-colored energy between its hands.
Ur tightened her stance, ready to intercept.
But then—
Deliora shifted.
It pointed its attack away from Ur. Right at Gray and Lyon.
'Shit!'
Ur moved instinctively.
[Ice-Make: Garden]
She swept her arms forward, magic surging. Ice flowers burst from the ground—sharp, spiraling spikes blooming around Deliora.
She erected a massive ice shield around the two boys and dashed toward them, grabbing them in a desperate sprint.
But even as she moved—
Deliora fired.
A brilliant, destructive beam of energy tore through the air.
"No!" Gray screamed.
Lyon was unconscious beside him, but Ur stayed calm. She pushed them both out of harm's way and leapt aside at the last second.
Gray opened his eyes, his body aching. He remembered being flung aside by Ur, saved at the last possible moment. Tears welled up as he stared at the massive demon still standing in the flames.
Ur approached him, her steps steady.
Gray struggled to his knees and threw himself into her arms.
"It's okay. You're safe now," Ur said, hugging the weeping boy back.
Gray pulled away, sniffling.
"Ur... why—"
She stopped him gently. "Just take Lyon and get out of here."
Her voice was firm. Serious.
Gray's hands trembled as he glanced at Lyon, unconscious and battered.
"Deliora..." he muttered, hoisting Lyon onto his back, Lyon's arms dangling limply around his neck.
That's when he noticed—
Ur's right leg. It shimmered unnaturally. Made of ice.
"Ur... your le—"
"Shh," Ur cut him off sharply.
She spared him a glance, one that said everything she couldn't say aloud, before stepping forward toward the demon.
But Deliora was already moving.
Its monstrous head snapped toward them, its mouth opening as energy began gathering again.
"Shit!" Ur cursed, slamming her palm to the ground.
[Ice Make: One Hundred Walls!]
Dozens of magic circles bloomed across the earth. Giant walls of ice erupted upward, layer after layer, forming a shimmering barrier between them and Deliora.
But Ur knew the truth. Even with everything she had left, it wouldn't be enough.
And if she used any more magic—
She wouldn't have enough strength left for Iced Shell.
Gritting her teeth, Ur abandoned the barrier and leapt directly in front of Gray and Lyon, shielding them with her body.
As Deliora's beam reached full charge, Ur raised her hand, gathering the last fragments of her magic power.
The light grew brighter.
And then, suddenly—
The demon froze. Mid-attack.
As a huge pressure erupted throughout the battlefield.

Shanks POV
We ran across the rocky path at full speed, the ground blurring under our feet.
Electricity crackled around Laxus, while Gildarts and I sprinted purely on strength and agility.
The sky ahead was getting darker. Not the darkness of night, but something unnatural.
As we got closer, the signs of destruction appeared. Shattered homes. Craters in the earth. Smoldering ruins.
"Shit," Laxus muttered, sparks dancing around his fists. "What the hell happened here?"
Gildarts' usual easygoing look was gone, replaced with something cold.
"This isn't just a rampage," he said. "It's a massacre."
We pushed harder.
The town of Brago came into sight or what was left of it. Fires raged unchecked. Buildings were nothing but charred frames.
And in the center of the chaos—
Deliora.
The demon towered over the town, monstrous and radiating pure destruction.
It wasn't idle either; it was charging another beam of energy.
Below it, we spotted a woman with black battered but standing firm—and two young boys behind her.
"That's them!" I shouted.
Laxus cursed under his breath."Tch. Looks like we're late."
"No," Gildarts said sharply. "We're just in time."
Ur desperately raised walls of ice, but even from a distance, I could see—she was reaching her limit.
She couldn't protect them and fight.
My blood boiled.
Without thinking, something snapped inside me.
A silent pulse rippled across the battlefield.
Deliora staggered mid-charge. Its glow faltered.
"What the hell was that!?" Laxus barked, electricity going haywire as he looked at me wide eyed.
Gildarts' eyes cut toward me sharply.
I realized with a sinking feeling—
Invisible pressure radiated from me, slamming into the demon and everything nearby. I clenched my fists and forced the Conqueror's Haki back down.
The fires crackled in the sudden, heavy silence.
Deliora reeled, its focus broken.
Gildarts gave a sharp grin—not playful, but dangerous.
"Well, well... Looks like the demon's scared."
Laxus grinned too, lightning sparking along his arms.
"Finally. Something worth my time."
Gildarts' voice turned serious again.
"No recklessness. This isn't a bar brawl. That thing could kill you."
We nodded without hesitation. We moved out.
Gildarts took the front, the ground trembling as he unleashed his magic. Laxus flanked to the side, lightning building with every step.
I followed close, my heartbeat steady.
I could see that both of the young boys were unconscious now. Ur stared at us as we moved.
Gildarts charged at the Demon while Laxus followed behind him.
"Who are you guys?" Ur asked me as I stayed behind. I had some healing to do.
"We are Fairy Tail!"
