Sophie returned with a bowl of water and some bandages. She knocked on the door, waiting for a response, but she got none. She knocked again and again, until it became obvious that no one was coming.
She felt like leaving, but she remembered the wounds all over his body. She feared if she left, something bad could happen. Gritting her teeth, she took the risk and opened the door, walking in to see Riven collapsed on the floor unconscious.
Scared, she dropped the bowl on the ground carefully and moved to his side. She lifted his head up slightly and tapped the side of his face. His eyes fluttered and opened, her face the first thing he saw.
He saw the worry and fear plastered on her delicate face, and her gaze made him instantly sad. He couldn't remember when someone looked at him with such a soft gaze in both worlds.
