The sun came up, announcing the start of a new day, the light poured through the glass and onto Riven's face. His eyes fluttered open. He sat up with a long groan, stretching his body as if attempting to tear it.
Immediately after he woke up, he heard a knock at the door. He stared at the door, wondering if that person had been waiting for him to wake up.
"Come in," he said without much thought, and immediately the door opened. Sophie walked in with a bowl of steaming hot water.
"Sophie, it's you," he said.
"Good morning, young master. I came to prepare your bath and check up on you," she said. Her eyes drifted to the bandages gathered on the floor, and she immediately shot him a questioning look.
"I'm sorry, I overexerted myself and ended up bleeding a bit, but you don't have to worry. I'll buy some healing potions on my way to the guild today," he said quickly, trying to calm her mind. She didn't respond and simply walked into the bathroom.
