Silas closed his eyes, then opened them after a few seconds. Everyone was at alert from the sudden knocking, wondering who it was that paid them a visit at this time of the night.
"What a nuisance." Silas rubbed his face as he dropped his fork. He was already finished with his meal anyway, and he had time to see one or two visitors, "I'll be back in a minute."
"Be careful," Ice advised, watching Silas gulp down his glass of water before he stood to his feet, as she lowered her gaze to a half empty plate of pasta, "Should I join you outside?"
Silas shook his head, then he walked out of the dining room. The door to the diner was always open, so he didn't bother locking it, "I don't feel comfortable leaving Ether in there."
