Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Dumbledore’s Trial! Completion Reward: Spell Chain!

Chapter 59: Dumbledore's Trial! Completion Reward: Spell Chain!

Dylan did not expect the thing he hoped in his heart to be so straightforward.

A group of individuals, congregating in the garden?

"Hmm?" Dylan abruptly noticed that at the utmost pinnacle of the magic mirror, amidst the clear blue sunny sky, there seemed to be something dark fluttering indistinctly in the clouds, but in a flash, it vanished.

Dylan narrowed his eyes, "What am I thinking about now?"

"Grumble grumble~"

At that moment, his stomach growled, and a wave of hunger washed over his mind.

He licked his lips, looking at the dishes his parents had prepared, which were basically all the dishes that he had loved eating since he was a child.

Of course, considering the culinary wasteland of England,

there was also plenty on the table that was only available in his previous life's era of exploding food additives. Dylan even noticed Coke and Sprite.

"I'm a bit hungry, better go eat quickly."

Dylan swallowed his saliva and turned to leave.

"Luckily, it was nothing strange, and it seems I'll have to devote some time to researching how to create so many of the goodies of my former life by magic."

One could certainly make them himself, naturally, but how could that compare to the ease of food conjuring with a flick of a wand?

Such as his milk tea, for instance, which he'd brewed while practicing the Transfiguration Charm.

Dylan pushed open the door to the classroom, looked left and right, and not seeing anyone, quickly left.

And after he had left.

Distorted space behind the magic mirror, and two figures appeared.

Dumbledore looked at the residual image on the magic mirror with a sigh.

Harry and the professors were talking or playing along to records, and Dylan himself was moving among his family and friends, a happy smile on his face.

"This child will certainly not follow the path of becoming a dark wizard. Believe me, he won't learn any dark magic."

Dumbledore smiled with relief, "I only wonder what that dark liquid the child used to entertain his guests is. It appears to be some kind of drink."

He was touched because his own figure had indeed appeared in Dylan's mind's eye, just sitting elegantly in a nearby armchair, watching a group of children play and frolic.

Such a scene was indeed a rare one.

Watching the warm vision fade in the mirror, Dumbledore even reached up to wipe away the tears that had welled up in the corners of his eyes.

Snape pursed his lips, looking at his own reflection in the mirror until it disappeared.

"There's no way I would smile like that."

Dumbledore laughed.

"Hahaha, what if you would?"

He moved in the direction of the classroom door, "That kid, now you can relax, right?"

Professor Snape snorted freezing cold, "According to a stationary mirror? Humans are dynamic."

Dumbledore shook his head, looked back at the Mirror of Erised, and what he saw gave him a moment's pause. Then the dew at the corners of his eyes intensified, and he looked away.

"People are dynamic, Severus, but those who are surrounded by love, no matter how they change, will retain the most stable sense of self."

"Perhaps you are unaware, but I must inform you that love possesses a power above all else, one that can transcend the boundaries of life and death."

"So you must accept that the inner self of an individual is as it appears in the magic mirror."

Snape's eyelids twitched, and he was silent for a moment.

"Hmph, since he understood the message of the writing on the mirror at first glance, I will reluctantly accept that a smart person will not truly fall."

Dumbledore chuckled again, stopped walking, and looked Snape up and down.

"Severus, your hair looks significantly cleaner today? Your skin also looks a great deal better, you look more radiant and youthful, it's wonderful."

Professor Snape twitched the corner of his mouth, "Nonsense, be quiet."

Then he raised his foot to leave the classroom, but Dumbledore called him once more.

"Severus, I believe you ought to teach Occlumency and Legilimency to that boy."

"What?"

Snape immediately halted where he was, turned back, his eyebrows knitted.

"He's only in first year! What would he do with those?"

Dumbledore smiled weakly, \"He is a good and conscientious boy. We, as headmaster and head of house, having used our powers to pry into the secrets of an upright student's heart, owe it to him to make amends.\"

Dumbledore turned and left.

Snape silently watched the back of Dumbledore's receding figure, his eye sockets hollow.

After a while, he raised his hand to smooth his hair, then his cheek.

"That brat is quite adept at researching strange potions."

With a soft snort, Professor Snape also left, his figure still brisk, but his steps seemed a little lighter.

.

Meanwhile.

Arriving at the Great Hall, although Dylan really wanted to stuff himself, he only took a dozen or so plates and placed them in front of him.

After eating everything, he returned to the dormitory.

He Scourgified himself, sat on the bed, and Dylan began to analyze the system prompts.

——————

[Achievement]: Peeking into the Heart

[Description]: You have seen the sincerest self!

[Unlock Requirement]: Gaze into your heart through the use of Mirror of Erised.

[Achievement Reward]: Spell Chain ×10

——————

"Oh? Spell Chain?"

Dylan couldn't help but furrow his brows after reading the system prompt.

This time the reward wasn't Galleons or magic potential and all kinds of herbs.

By these four words only, it seemed to allow him to cast spells consecutively, and the tens in the end.

"Does it imply that it allows me to cast ten of the same spells in a row?"

Dylan's eyes blinked, and a vision involuntarily flashed in his mind.

He was clutching his wand, fighting Voldemort.

After a burst of sinister laughter, Voldemort was about to hit him with a Fiendfyre Curse.

He therefore raised his wand and, with a backhand flick, fired ten Fiendfyre spells, like igniting fireworks, all of which hit Voldemort in the face.

"Defeating Voldemort with pink fluffy rabbits, I wonder what the achievement reward would be."

While he thought about this, Dylan took out his wand, prepared to carry out an experiment.

"Just. Petrificus Totalus!"

Dylan flicked his wand at the scattered small things on the bedside table, and magical energy at once burst out.

After one of the small wood carvings petrified.

Dylan didn't hesitate.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

The wand in his hand was still releasing magical energy.

Together with his light tap, tap, tap.

All the small objects on the bedside table petrified.

The whole process was so smooth!

And after casting ten Petrificus Totalus spells continuously, Dylan's mental energy drained a little.

He shook his head, suppressing the dizziness in his mind.

"Huff."

It seemed that to cast ten spells at once, he still had to adjust a bit more.
