Tomorrow, we go to war.
The scene shifts to Leo and Vultra, standing at the entrance of the Old Universe, which they had only recently discovered. They were working together to prepare it for optimal battle conditions. Valse had left them earlier, attending to other urgent matters.
Leo and Vultra opened the Dimensional Universal Portal. In that moment, the first beast and humanoid robot emerged—each sprinting forward, embracing Leo and Vultra tightly. Then, wave after wave followed—hundreds, thousands, millions, billions, trillions—until the population grew so massive that the entire universe was overcrowded.
To accommodate the overwhelming numbers, Leo and Vultra created additional dimensions to house them. Along with their people came factories, research facilities, and training camps. Leo had instructed them not to bring houses, promising he would provide suitable living quarters for them.
After a long-awaited reunion, Leo assembled the masses. He and Vultra transformed into their god forms, radiating divine energy to boost the morale of their clans.
Vultra began by howling, and the beast-kin instinctively followed, their chorus shaking the very fabric of the universe. A tear welled up in Vultra's eye as he addressed his people.
"My fellow beast-kin, it has been so long."
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Once the excitement settled, Vultra continued, "You must be wondering why I called you here. First, we have come to terms with the gods—you may now live in peace. Second, this universe belongs to us, and it will be shared with the humanoid robots. I'm sure many of you have already been coexisting, so this should be a piece of cake."
He paused, his expression growing serious.
"But the main reason you're here is because a certain god has declared war. Today is the final day for preparation, because tomorrow—we go to war. Leo and I will give you our blessings. You will be immortal until the war ends. Your stamina shall be limitless."
Vultra looked over at Leo, signaling him to speak next.
Leo bowed to his creations, a tear slipping down his cheek. "Thank you."
All the robots bowed to their creator in unison.
"I don't have much to say," Leo continued, voice thick with emotion, "because Vultra already said everything, and... I'm just overwhelmed. But I have one thing left to say:
We are all here—and we are here to stay. No evil force has the right to drag us down. We are the hands of the gods, enforcing justice. Our job is to eliminate all evil from the face of the universe. Let us do it with passion."
A wave of energy pulsed as Leo and Vultra ascended high above, stretching their hands to the heavens. Shimmering light burst forth as they created four high-ranking humanoid robots and four werewolves—ordained with the title of Generals.
"These beings," Leo announced, "will be on the frontlines with you while Vultra and I face Denzan."
Then, with a sweeping gesture, he conjured a massive structure: a colossal building with unlimited rooms.
"This," Leo declared, "is the Overwatch Building and Tower. Each room is the equivalent of eight bedrooms—well-furnished and outfitted with a personal training area and 3D food printer. Naturally, it includes an unlimited magic supply. Rest well. Train hard."
Thunderous cheers rang out as Leo and Vultra cut the ceremonial ribbon. They exchanged glances, then opened the building's door. The troops filed in, settling into their new temporary home.
Once everyone was situated, Leo and Vultra opened a portal to a dimension where time flowed differently—one minute in the Old Universe equaled ten years inside. It was fine-tuned to sustain full power levels during training.
They stepped into the dimension, unleashing their full power. What they learned inside would later be revealed—when the war reached its peak.
Time passed.
The day of war had finally come.
Leo and Vultra stepped out from the training dimension. What greeted them brought a smile to their faces—the humanoid robots and beasts were acting like family. Their mission had borne fruit, and it was now their duty to preserve those smiles.
The robots had already manufactured weapons and armor perfectly suited to the beasts. These upgrades came in the form of chips, directly implanted into the beasts' bodies. The humanoid robots themselves had also advanced drastically in preparation.
The scene shifted to the Void.
Denzan opened a colossal portal to the universe. His troops marched forward and gathered at its edge, awaiting his command. Emerging from his massive obsidian castle, Denzan appeared clad in his ancient war armor—the same one he wore during his battle against the gods.
He raised his hand and declared, "Alright, my men. Go and wreak havoc. Show them the true power of the Shadows of the Void."
The army surged forward.
The scene shifted again, this time to a planet under the Association's control. Troops stood ready, anxious to see whether the rumors of an invasion were true.
Suddenly, the sky darkened.
The sun was completely absorbed by the incoming force. Though sound doesn't travel in space, an ominous noise echoed through the atmosphere. The synchronized march of Void warriors was so powerful, it shook the entire planet—more terrifying than a grade-12 earthquake. Cracks split the land, and morale shattered. The sky was blackened by a numberless sea of enemies, stretching beyond sight.
Denzan—the Overlord—entered the human realm.
His mere presence shattered the atmosphere. His rotating Void Orbs consumed all breathable air. His voice was sharp and commanding as he said a single word:
"Where... are Leo and Vultra?"
The human president stepped forward, trembling.
"I don't know who you're talking about... Who is Leo? Who is Vultra?"
Denzan narrowed his eyes. "Don't play games with me. Where—are—they?"
His troops prepared to attack.
"Please," the president pleaded, drenched in sweat, "if it's within our power, we'll do whatever you want."
"I hate repeating myself," Denzan growled. "WHERE... IS... LEO AND VULTRA?"
"I... I don't know!" the president stammered.
"That's it," Denzan said, raising his hand. "Destroy everything."
His forces began to descend.
But in that very moment—everything changed.
The entire invasion army vanished, instantly teleported away.
The president gasped. Before him stood a radiant figure, a man whose presence rivaled the sun itself.
With a wave of his hand, the atmosphere was restored. Plants regrew. The skies cleared.
The man spoke: "I am Helios. I come on divine orders. A war is currently underway—an unknown enemy threatens even the gods. I've redirected Denzan's army. In the meantime, I bestow upon your planet the Power of the Sun. It shall act as your shield—burning any enemy who approaches."
Then, as quickly as he came, he vanished.
What had really happened?
Valse had teleported Denzan and his army into the Old Universe.
The scene now shifted back to Leo and Vultra.
Immediately, Denzan appeared in an unknown but similar universe. He looked at the terrain, just as confused as his goons. Now Denzan said to his forces, "Be on guard."
When suddenly, a slash sliced billions of soldiers. The soldiers yelled, "An ambush!" At that moment, Leo's forces jumped on them. They all readied themselves for defense, when, in that moment, Vultra's forces jumped on them from the opposite direction. They were completely surrounded.
Denzan now unleashed his powers, and his aura flared.
He said, "Who has the balls to face me?!"
Leo and Vultra stepped out. Leo said, "We have bigger balls than anyone in this universe, so why would we be afraid of someone with tiny balls—oh, and I mean fictionally and literally."
Denzan coughed. It was like ten Truck-kuns crashed into him. Vultra was feeling the heat of the roast. Now Denzan said, "Why don't we fight with our fists instead of our mouths?"
Leo smirked. "Well then, come at me."
"Oh?" Denzan said. "You really underestimate me. Well then, let me show you the errors of your ways."
He transformed into his void form, completely absorbing all life in the universe. His armor became like a catalyst, and the armor now joined to his face, forming a mask. His aura made him grow dark wings and an absorbent cape out like a void. His weapon—the Scythe of Destruction—materialized.
Leo told Vultra telepathically, I will fight him first. If I'm tired, you will take over. And if we can't beat him, we will use that—our perfected technique. But that will be our last resort.
"Now then, Denzan, why don't you show me the lesson you've learned all this while?"
They both dashed towards each other. Leo phased out of existence. Denzan stopped. He then activated Void Domain. Leo instantly appeared at his back. Denzan turned, saying, "Gotcha!"—giving Leo a blow which sent him flying. Leo landed hard. He then stood up; his damaged stomach instantly regenerated.
Now Leo said, materializing his Yang Armor, "Now then, why don't you try it again?"
They both rushed. The speed at which they rushed was unexplainable. Trails couldn't even follow it. When they clashed, the shockwaves destroyed galaxies and killed some of Denzan's warriors who weren't strong enough to withstand it. But Leo and Vultra's forces, on the other hand, were handling it just fine.
Denzan threw his scythe at him. Leo put his guard up, but Denzan followed the scythe, stepping on it and landing an overhead somersault kick on Leo, sending him spiraling down. Leo regained his balance. He then materialized his twin blades. Then he zoomed off.
Denzan couldn't see Leo again, and his domain wasn't working. He was just being sliced again and again. He couldn't keep up with his speed. He then focused his senses. Then he automatically evaded Leo's attack.
Leo knew he had achieved and maxed out his senses. So he did the obvious decision—he retreated and put his twin blades in a dimension. Denzan did the same.
Currently, the other forces were fighting one another. The generals were in serious combat. But Vultra was just chilling. Any enemy who came his way just got teleported to Tartarus, so they avoided him.
Vultra watched the battle, analyzing it. He then said to Leo, who was about to charge at Denzan, "Bro, time to switch."
"What?" Leo said. "I'm not even weak!"
"You sure about that?" Vultra said.
"No worries, I know why," Leo responded.
Then Leo shifted. He then allowed Vultra. Immediately, he stepped up. Vultra and Denzan felt nostalgia for the first time. It was a battle of master and student—because Denzan originally gave Vultra his powers.
Now Denzan said, "I expected this from Leo, but not you. How could you side with these gods after all they have done to you? Why, Vultra? My powers I gave to you were for one reason—and that is to exterminate the gods. But why do you still side with them?"
Vultra answered Denzan, "You might have given me your powers, but I made it mine. I commanded it and I bent it to my will. And so, your manipulations might have affected me, but now I see the truth. And I now have a new resolve, and that is to protect these people around me and keep their smiles going for a long time to come."
He looked back as he saw the wives smiling, and he saw his sister smiling back at him. And he said, "You clearly don't know anything about the gods. Now let's battle. Let me educate you."
As he prepared his stance, Denzan also prepared his stance.
Now then, they both rushed towards each other.
