"What if brother Ahil see us?"
Raksheet smiled sarcastically "If he see us and dared to say anything, i will make sure he will get a big punishment for his insolence. And will never dare to look at us when we are together."
Ira looked at him with wide eyes. She slapped him on his chest "Don't you dare do that." She warned.
"Ouch....Why you like to slap me?" He asked, faking expression of pain on his chest.
"Your antics are worth to get slapped. What do i do?"
"Why you always support Ahil but not me?" He asked sulking.
"Why you don't like him?" She questioned back instead of answering.
"I asked you first so answer me." He insisted, looking like a stubborn kid hard to control.
She sighed "Because you are always strict with him. If i don't support him, you will always scold him."
Hearing her answer, he made a sad look and turned around, his head still on her lap.
She looked at him confused "What happened to you now?"
He shook his head not to answer.
"Tell me." She insisted but he didn't replied.
She was done with her husband's childish behaviour. She grabbed his shoulder and turned him around to face her.
"Tell me what happened. Did i said something wrong?" She asked.
He shook his head "No. You didn't."
"Then why are you sad?" She asked with a gentle look on her face.
"You also think i am strict with him. Everyone think i am strict to him but i am not. I want him to be strong. He will be the commander of Jwalana. He should be strong to defeat the enemies. You also think i don't like him but....."
"But what?"
"Yes i don't used to like him when we were kid." He admitted.
She gave him a surprised look after knowing that her husband used to dislike his own brother.
"Don't look at me like that. It hurts." He said the last word in low voice as if it really hurts him. "I don't used to like him because as soon as he came in my life, he stole all the love and care of my parents. Everyone's attention shifted to him from me. They almost forgot about me. My parents used to feed me by their hands but when he came, my parents has to spend their all time with him. Whenever father came back from work, he used to tell me stories or about how his day went. But when Ahil was born, he used to go straight to meet him as soon as he returned from work. They used to talk to me some times but i was still feeling alone and lonely and started to hate Ahil."
Ira's expression changed from surprise to concern. She can feel what Raksheet has experienced. Her family always used to ignore her. The only person who used to pay attention to her was her grandfather and sometimes her mother. She can feel Raksheet's pain, the pain of loneliness, the pain of getting ignored by their own family.
"You still don't like him?" She asked.
Raksheet smiled slightly. "No. Now i like him. As we grow up, we came close. He used to come to me often and insisted to play with him. I started to like him. I feel happy whenever he call me brother. I feel responsible and want to protect him. I enjoyed his childhood with whole heart." He held Ira's hand and caressed it and then placed it on his chest. "Even if it looks like I am strict to him, i want to make him strong. I want to make him stranger than me. Because...." He looked in her eyes "He will be the king of Jwalana.....If i die someday."
She immediately covered his mouth, stopping her husband from talking ominous. "Why can't you say something good?! Huh?! Don't you dare say something like that again!" She was angry to hear it and it was seen on her face but there was concern and worry in her eyes. Even if she didn't admitted she like him, she do really care for him and don't want anything bad to happen to her husband. He is the only one who is treating her like a treasure after her grandfather.
Raksheet looked at her for a while, feeling happy to see his wife care for him. Her worried face was increasing his feelings for her.
He grabbed her hand that was covering his mouth and placed it on his head. "Would you please caress my head? i would feel good."
Ira closed her eyes for a while in annoyance and then opened it and started to caress his head slowly. She was still angry with his word's but she let it slide away because of his innocent request.
He closed his eyes, enjoying the sweetest moment of his life. Ira's fingers running through his hair, caressing his head, it's so relaxing that he closed his eyes to take a nap.
Ira looked at her husband's sleeping face, he look so cute when he is sleeping, like a baby. A smile appeared on her face. 'cute.' she thought. She stroked his forehead. With a hesitation, fear of getting caught by someone or her husband, she carefully leaned forward and kissed his forehead.
A smile appeared on Raksheet's lips as soon as he felt a warm kiss on his forehead by his wife "It feels so good. Thank you." He whispered.
Realising her husband is still awake, Ira widened her eyes and quickly pulled herself back.
"Y-You are awake?" She asked.
He smiled widely and opened his eyes "I didn't slept."
"You were pretending to be asleep? How cunning you are!" She asked, feeling embarrassed as well as annoyed.
Raksheet laughed, knowing his wife is embarrassed by her cute act. "I wasn't pretending. You are the one who thought i am sleeping."
She pushed him away "Get up, move away." She turned around not to face him. She was feeling embarrassed, knowing he will again tease her.
"What happened? What did i do?" He asked "You thought i am sleeping and kissed my forehead. And that's all right. After all, we are couple. No need to feel shy."
"I am not feeling shy!" She replied, still avoiding his gaze.
"Then look at me." He tried to convince her to look at him but she didn't. Having no option, he held her chin and made her look at him "I am sorry. I won't tease you or annoy you but please don't be angry on me." He requested.
"Promise?" She asked to make sure he won't make fun of her again.
"Promise." He replied. He released her chin and held her hand. "I want to show you something. Let's go."
He got up from swing and dragged her with him somewhere.
"Where are you taking me?" She asked on their way.
"To meet someone special." He replied.
Ira stopped on her place. Her expressions changed from confusion to worry. Someone special? Does he have some special too, like grandfather? Is she more beautiful than her? Does he have a mistress? Does he love her? how long they have been together? Did they slept together? Ira's mind was filled with so many questions. She clenched her fist in jealousy and anger.
Raksheet turned around and looked at her. Her expressions were as cold as snow blizzard that can destroy the entire Kingdom in a moment. He gulped and tried to smile but the fear was seen on his face. The strongest and fearless prince of Dhrattak empire is scared of his wife.
"Why did you stop?" He asked.
Ira crossed her arms on her chest "What do you mean by 'someone special'?" Her gaze was as sharp as ice spikes.
Raksheet realised why his wife is looking in a terrible form. 'Someone special' these two words are already creating a big fuss and upon that, he again mentioned it. And the biggest mistake he made was not clarifying the relationship between him and his 'someone special '. Now Ira will think he have someone special too. And he is cheating on her.
He sighed in a relief. It's just a misunderstanding that he have to clear.
He took a step forward towards her but she stopped him by saying "Don't. Don't you dare come near me. First, tell me who is that 'someone special' of yours." Not only the look on her face but her voice was cold too.
He chuckled "My horse. Agni." He replied.
She looked at him confused "Your horse?"
Raksheet nod "Yes. My horse. He is the only 'someone special' in my life." He stepped towards Ira and wrapped his hands around her waist "Except you." He added.
Ira looked down, thinking how stupid she is to doubt on her husband, knowing how loyal and loving he is.
He held her chin and made her look at him "Don't worry. I won't cheat on you. You are my only love forever."
Her heart started to beat faster. She can't control her heartbeat whenever her husband confessed his feelings to her. Her cheeks started to tint red too.
"Would you like to meet Agni?" Raksheet asked.
She nod, greatful that he changed the topic "Yeah, sure."
He held her hand and led the way.
