Just as usual, after entering the door, I have reached into another different world. The only difference if that I don't know what floor is that door located. But it doesn't matter. For that I don't know their difference at all.
The world this time is just an ordinary world. Nothing unusual like unusual coloring of the sky or anything. I am just on the alley of the suburban as last time.
"And yet here I am in the another world... Again."
I change myself into casual clothes and head along the street to find something interesting.
The place I am in doesn't seems to have much people. There are some people walking on the street and few cars sometimes pass but no one seems to care much about me. The place also seems to be a bit wealthy since every house seems to have a back yard. Or maybe I am just not used to places like this.
Judging from the orange leaves falling down it seems to be an autumn season. I can feel that I've always liked the season but I don't think I've been to somewhere with this kind of season even before I am like this.
I keep walking without thinking much and just enjoying the sunset of the town. The orange sky and the orange leaf piles somehow fill my mind with warmth.
While walking down the street and enjoying the view of the sunset, something caught my attention.
There is a guy in front of a place that looks like a cafe or a bakery is handing out flyers. Since he also handed me one I looked at the flyer.
"Warming Hearts bakery and cafe." The just opened it last week so they are handing out flyers to attract more people. In the bottom cornor, they also said they are hiring.
I turned back and look at the cafe.
The guy handing out the flyers is giving me unsual feeling. I looked at his soul and is indeed different from the rest of the people. As if the world is looking right at him. The place itself is also giving me the same feeling
I approached him to talk.
"Hello, welcome to our Warming Hearts cafe, is you are interest in our cafe, please come inside. We are also having a 10 percent discount for this week."
He said to me with a joy. He look friendly and kind to me. But what still concern me more is his soul and this place.
"Hey, I saw in the flyer that you guys are hiring so I was wondering if I could work here." I said it for some reasons but even I am not sure why. But I don't mind working in a cafe for a while. Weird,I don't seems to have any problems talking with him either.
"Oh so you are interterested in working here don't worry I will get the owner for the interview please come inside." He invited me into the cafe for the interview. I am not expecting it to be this quick but I just followed him inside.
"Katherine, we have someone who is willing to join us." He called for someone at the back of the cafe."
"She just went out for some reasons. What do we get here." A stylish woman answered him.
"Oh, Stacy. This perso here said he want to work here." He replied.
"Hi, I was wondering if I could workd here."
"Sure, whatever. Since we are short on people and no one seems to be interested I think we can hire him. I believe she will also agree with this decision."
"Hey newbie, you are hired. By the way, what's your name?" She asked me.
'Ah crap what should I answer? Never mind I will just said something in my mind.'
"Oh, hi. I am Nil. It's nice to meet you. I am not very good with people but I am a quick learner so I wish I would be helpful."
'Ah, what am I saying. I don't remembering if I have any skill and I don't think I had any good one either. A quick learner my ass. Why did I even say that.'
An awkward feeling in my head make me feel nervous but it also make me feel thrill and I seems to be enjoying it quite a bit.
"Well, we already have Aiden here as a waiter so I guess a helping hand for me in the kitchen would be nice. Just help me with in the kitchen OK?" She said to me with a smirk on the face.
"Hi Nil, let's have a firendly work place together." Aiden said to me.
"Thanks. When do I start."
"Well, we are closing soon and theres seems to be no more customers so can you come here tomorrow at 8 or 8:30 in the morning? We open from 9am to 7pm." Stacy told me about the time.
"Oh, ok. I could work with that. So see you tomorrow I guess." I said it nervously.
"Yeah whatever. I guess we have a unifrom of your size. Later." Stacy said to me.
"Good bye Nil. See you tomorrrow." Aiden said to me.
"Oh, bye. See you tomorrow." I left the cafe after saying them good bye.
"Well. I guess I got a job now. Haha, did I just travel to another world just to work at a cafe? I hope it's fun working with them." I said to myself while laughing.
"An crap where do I stay tonight? Well it's not like I need sleep anyway so I will just look around the world for the night."
I used the camera in my backpack and teleport high up. The place was indeed a nice place. There isn't seems to be much house but there is a city near by.
I tried to teleport toward the city but I was stopped at the edge of the town. I tried it again but nothing happened this time again. So I stepped to the ground an tried to walk toward it. But as I suspected I was blocked by an invisible barrier.
"This doesn't make any sense. Why can't I go further. Forget it. I will just ask that goddess later. For now I will just go back near that cafe. I have workd tomorrow anyway."
I stopped at the vending machine near the back of the cafe. The machine seems to have many kinds of soda.
"Oh a vending machine. If only I have any money on me though."
I search aroumd and below the machine to find some changes but I only got 10 and the cheapest one cost 25.
"Ah forget it I don't even want to drink anyway. Well, also I don't have any mouth so. But they see me as a normal human so I sould have one."
I just pretend I don't want tk drink since I can't. But after closer examination, I found a can of drink inside the vending machine that no one has picked up yet.
"Oh there's one here. Well, a free drink from the world. How could I refuse it."
I opened it and unconsciously tried to drink it. A wide mouth opened from my feature less face that looks like mirror and I was able to drink it.
"So I do have a mouth huh. Everyday, something new about me."
"Ahh..." I heard a scream of a woman from a nearby parking lots.
I approached toward the scream.
"Don't worry. You trust me right. After all I am the only one who understand me. Just get in the car." I man is saying those while pulling the hand of the girl into the car.
"Hey, what the hell are you doing to a girl? Don't you see she doesn't want that? Are you trying to kidnap her?" I step in and yell at him.
"Look man, I was just trying to get my girlfriend home. It's none of your concern so why don't you stay out of this." He said those and pull the hand of the girl.
"Isn't it right? Mrs. Girlfriend?" He looked at her with a disgusting face.
"Yes. He is my boyfriend." She replyed while shivering.
"You heard that right. So step out of our matter." He pushed me away.
"Like hell I would believe your bullshit. It's clear that you threaten her. Don't worry miss. I'll take out this trash for ya."
"Why you little piece of shit."
He rushed toward me and tried to punch me. But I pulled his hand and throw him to the ground. And then I stepped on his leg as hard as I can.
"Just be greatful that I didn't step on your nut."
And the I kicked his head. After that I dragged him into his car and kicked the door shut.
"Now why don't you be a good boy and go home. You are gonna worry your mommy."
"You piece of shit. I'll remember this. You are gonna regret messing with me." He then swear at me a few times and drove away.
"Well I guess you are safe now girl."
I turned back to look at her but she pushed me from the behind.
"Why would you do that. Stop staying in my way." She yell at me and stomp away.
"The heck? I just saved your ass." I froze abit and I tried to yell it back but she is kind of far away now so I don't think she heard me.
I wonder what is wrong with her but what more concern me is that I just did some weird shits but I wasn't even be able to talk properly to strangers in last world. But I just think the problem was solved and I was able to talk properly.
I then spent the night walking around town and then go back to the cafe in the morning.
