Kieran
Cassidy froze.
For half a second—
Just half a second—
She was completely still.
Then, slowly, she inhaled—
And melted against me.
Her fingers clutched at my shirt, like she was trying to push me away but couldn't quite follow through.
Her lips parted slightly, letting me deepen the kiss, letting me pull her closer.
And gods—
She was soft.
Soft and infuriating and exactly what I had been resisting for too long.
I pulled back just enough to meet her wide, dazed gaze.
"You belong to me, Cassidy," I murmured, my voice rough, unsteady. "Not Jonathan. Not anyone else. Just me."
Her breath shook.
Then—
Her entire face burned red.
"I'm sorry, I hope I didn't offend you." I said quickly.
Clearing her throat she took a step back "it's fine, I understand. It was your wolf." She said which hurt me more than it was supposed to.
She stared at me, a flush creeping up her neck. "I don't want her near you."
"You made that very clear."
"I mean it."
