"Needless to say, Biaskoncy's reports are quite clear." The leader of the Immortal Mist lifted a paper from the table.
"Yes, our current Vietry can handle you." Ajtony chuckled.
"And what if I don't want to be a member of the Immortal Mist?" The Zovárd boy asked, raising one eyebrow.
"You'll die." Kamu shrugged.
"What?" The boy's eyes widened.
"You know too much. The Mist has covered you, young Suk, either you accept the situation or it will consume you, you have only these two options." The man looked seriously into the child's eyes.
"I didn't ask Biaskoncy to teach me your tricks! I wanted a fucking cauldron! It's not my fault that he started teaching me!" The Zovárd boy got angry.
"What happened happened." Kamu shrugged his shoulders, as if he didn't think it was important. "From today on, you are officially a member of the Mist and as such your loyalty belongs to us." The Ishán of the Immortal Mist said seriously. At his words, however, Suk stood up from his chair and leaned on the table to look at the man, leaning forward.
"You can dream about that. I swore an oath to the Athamana, my loyalty belongs to them! And besides, Razvan, unlike you, has already earned my respect." The boy grumbled.
"You are talking to your Ishán." The reaction came from Kamu's mouth in a cold voice. "Control yourself or there will be consequences." The man announced.
"What consequences? Will you kill me? Go on, I'm not afraid." Suk grinned, but his words only managed to make an evil smile run across Kamu's lips.
"No, you will stay alive, don't worry. I will destroy your little Athamana." Hearing the threat, the Zovárd boy's eyes widened and his hands clenched into fists on the tabletop.
"Don't you dare hurt my friends!" Suk hissed between his teeth. "If even a hair of theirs bends, Mist here, Mist there, I will wipe out your entire clan." The boy pulled himself together.
"Accept that you belong with us and none of them will be harmed. I will arrange for them to be placed under the protection of the Immortal Mist." The Ishán also stood up. The two people just stared at each other for a few minutes, then Suk lowered his head.
"I belong with you." He forced the words out between his teeth.
"See? It wasn't that difficult." Kamu chuckled. "And by the way, I never said with a word that you couldn't ally with the Athamana. Since our existence, we have been in alliance with so many organizations and great powers that I can't even count them. One more or less doesn't matter." He waved a hand, which made Suk open his mouth. "Biaskoncy!" As the Ishán shouted, the Vietryk appeared in the doorway. "Take the young gentleman back to school, he needs to rest." He said, then continued in their own language. "Leave a few people with him on watch, he's still a pretty dangerous card."
"As you command, Ishán." Biaskoncy bowed, then turned to Suk. "Come, I'll take you back." He nodded towards the door.
"We'll see each other again, young Suk." Kamu greeted before the door to his office closed. "As stubborn as you." He blew a breath as he sat back in his chair and turned to the poison-mixing ghost.
"Are you surprised? He is my relative." The other one shrugged.
"The other one too, but he's easier to influence." Kamu pinched the bridge of his nose.
"The difference is that for Biaskoncy, there was nothing and no one who would have been family before the Immortal Mist. Suk is still young, but Athira's team is already his family and not the kind we kill easily. To him, that team is like the Mist to us." Ajtony sighed too.
"Athira's team..." Kamu thought for a moment, then smiled faintly. "After all, why not? That's why we were originally founded." He started to chuckle.
"Oh, have you come up with something again?" The poison mixer grinned too.
"You could say that." The leader of the Immortal Mist leaned back in his chair.
"That means yes to you." Ajtony rolled his eyes. "So talk, what did you come up with?" The ancestor of the Zovárds asked.
"We're going to hang out with the Athamanas a bit. But first!" Kamu raised his hand when his friend wanted to interrupt. "We're going to visit our new tailor." He chuckled.
"For what?" Ajtony asked and looked at his friend. "Your dress is perfect." He grimaced, but this only made Kamu laugh.
"I don't need clothes. My old Ishán outfit is still here, it just needs to be renovated a bit, which we can also do at the tailor." He shrugged.
"If you don't need the clothes, then who does?" The poison-mixing sword ghost narrowed his eyes.
"You, of course." Kamu announced, but his friend opened his mouth at his words.
"Listen, Koál, I don't know if you noticed, but I'm still a ghost." The man pointed at himself. "The only way for you to change my appearance is to take your sword to a blacksmith." The man pointed at himself, and the leader of the Immortal Mist grinned.
"Where did you think I was going to take you?" He chuckled.
"What kind of blacksmith do you want to take me to?" The other blinked.
"To the best in the west." Kamu stood up, then took his sword too. "Come on, you'll enjoy it." He shook his head.
"I'll kill you once." Ajtony growled.
"Again? Wasn't three times enough?" He raised his eyebrows at the other Ishán.
"You know what, Kamu? Fuck you!" The poison-mixing sword ghost snapped.
"Thanks, if it's okay, I'll skip it now." Mukei shrugged.
"Kamu!" Ajtony gave a slap on the nect to his friend. "That wasn't funny." He looked at the aforementioned with piercing eyes.
"Why now?" The Koál man squeezed his neck. "The team can joke about us being together and I can't?" He folded his arms in front of him.
"I have no problem with the team's stupidity, because it's funny when they think they know something they shouldn't know, even though they don't know anything. But you just want to get on my nerves! I know you like the back of my hand." Ajtony rolled his eyes.
"You know, it's not a big deal coming from you. Unlike others, you've had about a thousand years to get to know me." Kamu shrugged. "So can we go, or do you still want to fight with me a little?" He asked the question.
"Let's go. I'm not going to escape from all this, am I?" Ajtony ran his hand in front of his face.
"You know me too well, my dear friend." Kamu laughed as he headed towards the exit. The headquarters of the Immortal Mist has been here longer than the Floating Barracks were built, so it's no wonder that the members of the Mist know about every building and every inhabitant in it. That is why Kamu, with his best friend and right hand by his side, was now heading to the workshop of a certain blacksmith. The pair had barely reached the bottom of the stairs when a young man's voice spoke to them.
"You've become much stronger since our last meeting, but I don't think you came in for a friendly chat. I assume your little friend is the reason you came to my workshop, Mukei?" The question comes, and Kamu just smiles broadly.
"I'm glad to see you again, Matthias."
