Liriel;
"How? It makes no sense. How could she survive? She's supposed to be dead. I made that amulet myself. With it on her, she was supposed to die within a few minutes after entering the Thryssa!" I rant as I pace about my room, and Father shifts in the seat he's on.
"Are you sure you made it right?" He questions, and I turn to him in bewilderment.
"Father, you know me. You know I don't stop practising anything till I'm unmatched at it. I've made several amulets that pulled tides and creatures of the deep seas back at the oceans. One that works on land is nothing. I made it perfectly. She shouldn't be alive!" I complain, but stop when a thought sends a shiver down my spine.
"What if she found out and took it off? I didn't see it on her when she came back. What if she knows I tried to kill her?" I question as I stop dead in my tracks and turn to Father.
