Chicago was a pale, concrete, grey. The cloud of dust from the collapsed building coated everything. It filled the air, brought visibility close to only a few tens of feet. The city was silent in shock, and what noise remained was absorbed by the cloud of concrete dust.
Mr Smith and Mr Jones landed side by side, quickly ditching the parachutes and walking to the nearest car.
Smith opened the passenger door and got in, quickly driving a knife into the heart of the woman in the drivers seat. Jones opened the drivers door.
"Should we leave her here Mr Smith?"
"I think we should take the body with us Mr Jones. It should give us plenty of head start. That would be compromised if they found her too soon."
"Agreed."
They hoisted the young woman's body onto the back seat as Jones settled into the drivers seat.
"Where to Mr Smith?"
"Our Michigan safe house, firstly. Then back home."
"Sounds like a plan Mr Smith."
Behind them the woman sat up and pulled the knife out of her chest.
"Unfortunately gentlemen. I cannot allow that to happen."
Alice pulled two syringes out and injected them.
