The Moonhill Pack was awaiting Jared's return. Not immediately, as the road from Silverfall to the Moonhill Pack was very long - almost twenty hours, according to the map online - but still. Delaying the issue wouldn't do Felix any good. He had to either send Jared back as soon as possible, or figure out some other way to deal with the situation…
But his stomach was grumbling. He was also in desperate need of a shower. How was he supposed to work like that? He needed a moment to himself, to clear his head and calm down. He couldn't focus with Jared's scent still clinging to his skin…
So, he jumped in the shower, scrubbing himself long and hard, until his whole body turned bright red from the excessive friction.
