Nathan's POV
The healer worked with gentle hands, examining the scratches on my shoulder. I winced a little when she pressed around it, probably checking how deep it went. I sat still, allowing her to do her work.
Felix stood nearby. His arms were crossed, and his eyes narrowed at me, as if he was watching me for any sign of weakness. I hated being under such scrutiny.
"So what really happened?" he asked.
I thought he would wait until the healer left, but he was already asking. There wasn't much to it, so I told him.
"I was bored, went out for a walk, and then I encountered them. They attacked me," I explained. "I managed to fight them off briefly, but they were quite strong, and I ended up getting injured."
Felix's expression tightened. "You shouldn't have been out there. Fortunately, Derrick was there to protect you. But I think it's time for you to resume training."
