Instead of the close stance of both his legs and his hands being closer to his body, he now chose the total opposite.
He extended the space between both of his feet and reached both his hands toward Valen, all of this while making sure that his legs were stable and his hands were held high, ensuring he could still block any kicks or punches that might be targeted toward his torso.
Valen saw the vast difference in stance.
'It's the same as when I changed my stance just now,' he thought, carefully taking a few steps back. 'He is either trying to trick me, or planning something with that stance… I am sure of it.'
Asterix thought the same.
Although the stance looked awkward, he, and most of the crowd, knew by now that Liam was not the foolish noble they once mocked.
He had a plan and was able to think ahead. 'What could he be trying to do?' But he couldn't figure it out.
Most of the crowd didn't. But one did.
