Forrest's POV
It all started with a banana, three dozen yards of rope, and what Forrest proudly referred to as "an overactive imagination and questionable morals."
The trap had been set in motion early that morning after Ridge refused to lend Forrest his socks. The fuzzy ones. With the little moons on them.
"They're emotional support socks!" Forrest had declared.
"You're emotionally unstable regardless of footwear," Ridge replied.
So naturally, retaliation was necessary.
And thus: the Sibling Snare 3000 was born.
It was, in short, a work of chaotic genius.
A tripwire fashioned from enchanted fishing line. A tree limb rigged with a counterweight system involving an old cauldron, a bucket of glitter, and seventeen squeaky toys. A decoy banana glued to a fake squirrel perched on a swing labeled "free hugs."
"Sheer artistry," Forrest whispered to himself, crouched in the bushes with Brooks beside him.
"This is a crime against nature," Brooks muttered. "And possibly gravity."
