Lydia slammed down the bottle in her hand on the table.
"That bastard!" she exclaimed, "I should have slapped him a few more times!"
Although Lydia initially expressed her hesitation towards consuming alcohol, once she took the first sip, Violet wasn't able to stop her anymore.
Taking a bite out of the slice of cake in front of her, Violet leaned against the couch, hearing Lydia complain about Lucas for the nth time. She learned about all Lucas's embarrassing secrets Lydia knew and the tortures Lydia wished to inflict on him.
"How dare he call me an incompetent doctor? He said that my patients should be careful of whom they trust. If they are not careful, one day I will kill them off," Lydia expressed— her voice was full of sorrow.
Then, the next instant, she got a burst of energy and grabbed on to Violet's shoulder, shaking the rest of the spirits from inside her.
"You trust me, right, Violet? You know I wouldn't harm you." Lydia intently stared at her.
