Chapter 33 - -twenty seven-

The last day of University, the final graduation has come to Killa's college students' stage. The other phase of her left end, and she doesn't even feel it that way. Killa always thinks that everything finalized is a new beginning for her. Since things have gone smoothly, every beginning seems to be a normal phase to walk through as a typical human being on this earth as time passed her and Eamon by. Her only wish is to keep being with Eamon—together, endlessly.

But she knows deep down that it's going to be another obstacle again, and she prays that it won't come from the dark, crucial side.

Killa and her friends are out to some place for a celebration, being college students. Eamon has planned a small party for her back at his café, with several gifts to give, both tangible and intangible. One of the gifts he bought was very special, very precious for his Killa to show how she is meant for him. He also invites his assistant, Joe. Kwan, his only employee, became one of Killa's best friends. It might sound like typical and usual guests, but Eamon has asked them personally, with his intention. He's even bought a new suit for this special time.

But the urgency has occurred unexpectedly,

Killa gets the call from Kwan. The only word, one word from him, 'Fire,' making her leave everything, running and rushing for her life, attacking and hitting strangers on the way, ignoring everything, only her eyes focusing on her love, who isn't here with her at this moment. She runs faster and faster than she ever did. Her pinkish skin turns pale. her eyes are wider

'Eamon,' Killa grinds her teeth and tries her best to run her tiny feet to him.

Finally, she sees what is actually happening. The Café is on fire. Her bright eyes reflect the orange, yellow, and red colors, mixing with the hot temperature all around her body. Killa runs and tries to find Eamon in the middle of the crowd.

Then she notices someone, particularly, "Kwan!! Where's Boss?" She shouts at Kwan immediately after seeing him.

"He's still in there!" Kwan shouts back with a terrified face.

"They're trying-t-"Kwan doesn't finish his sentence, seeing her rush in through the crowd and the firefighters. "KILLA–KILLA–DON'T!!" He shouts her name and watches her run toward the building that is full and covered with the hottest, massive flames.

The heat waves cover the area, and the flame starts to cool down because of the harsh water pushed out by the fire hose. The pressure of the water cools down the heat, and the tip of the flame slowly moves all around the property in six directions, circling the building that is falling to the ground with dark, black burns. The witnesses and the survivors are watching and waiting for a mysterious young lady who just got inside crazily.

Kwan and Joe, Eamon's assistant, are hopefully waiting.

And suddenly, the light of hope, the fire that pities the two beings fighting for their lives to get out, finally exposes the way for them. Killa is dragging the huge and heavy body of Eamon, stumbling, suffering, but still hanging on to push it through the way out.

"Help!" Killa shouts her best shot at the man wearing a black suit in front of the ruined door. The officers restrain him so he won't be able to escape and get inside the fire.

"Boss!!" The assistant sees a tiny body dragging a huge unconscious body in the middle of the fire. He immediately pushes all the officers, calls the fireman, and gets inside, helping Killa, who embraces Eamon's body.

The Zealand Hospital

The huge body is lying down on the patient's bed, wearing the patient's clothes, and sleeping unconscious. After a week, Killa takes care of him without him realizing anything. Time after time, the wound heals from the sun through the moon as consciousness returns to Eamon's body.

"Boss," the assistant calls him after seeing him blinking slowly. "I'll call the doctor." He immediately runs out to the doctor and runs back to see him, seeing Eamon trying to get up and looking around the environment.

"How long have I been sleeping?" Eamon asks.

"A week...Boss. Just so you know, Miss Killa was the one who dragged you out of that place..." The assistant quickly confesses, and it seems like Eamon remembers what happened to The Café.

Eamon widens his eyes after reading his assistant's lips. "What? Was she alright!?"

"She got through the fire by herself. I came too late…I'm so sorry, Boss." The assistant quickly kneels on the floor, harshly.

"What are you talking about?!! Where's Killa?" Eamon shouts at him, ignoring his behavior.

"After both of you were sent to the hospital, she's been taking care of you, Boss, washing you, staying with you all day, all night. She hasn't eaten much. She was just devastated because you didn't wake up..." The assistant keeps explaining.

Eamon starts to feel nauseous. He takes his legs out of the bed and tries to get up. "Where is she?? Where is Killa!?" he screams at the assistant.

"She's gone." The assistant flinches.

Eamon's pale face is even paler. "What?" His deep voice turns low. He is completely shocked and quickly takes the saline out of his vein. Then he falls down on the floor. 'Killa...Where are you? Why? I have to see you...Please, not again...' he thinks, confused, while trying to get himself up from the floor.

"Boss!!?" There's a young woman's voice that comes through the room.

"Killa?" He looks at her with a dreadful heart. "Huhh—" he gasps as he tries to get to her.

"Huh, Killa," he says lightly as he hugs her tightly. "I thought—I thought I lost you."

Killa pulls him out a bit to see his face. Her eyes are a bit teary. "You're awake. I thought I lost you," she says, and he wipes her tears before they run down, rubbing her cheek. He gives his watery eyes to her, showing how he cares for nothing except for her.

And then he turns and glares at his assistant. "You said she's gone," he growls.

"Yes, but I'm not finished with the sentence." The assistant gets up from the floor. "I was going to say she's gone out to find something to eat. I told you she didn't eat much," he explains himself, sweating.

Eamon reads his lips and stays still without words.

Killa holds both Eamon's hands, "I went back to take a shower too," she says,

Killa is taking care of Eamon during their stay in the hospital while the assistant is finding a new place for his boss. Switching up when something urgent comes up to them. Not for long has Eamon fully recovered and can leave the hospital, and he has a place to stay by that time.

Killa is unpacking his clothes and stuff left from the fire, which is not even completely full, in one medium-sized box. But there are a few new things—essential stuff in several paper bags that Eamon's assistant has bought for him.

The delicate and tiny hands grabbing her only love's clothes tighten and tighten, and all of a sudden, the periwinkle eyes produce some tears, and they run down the fabric and her hands. She sighs the air out of her mouth, tumbling and trying to quiet down and calm her emotions inside. Something bothers her emotionally and mentally, and it reaches out to her physically. She quickly blinks her eyes and wipes her painful tears before the man approaches her from behind.

"Boss..." Killa calls him lightly while facing him, admiring him with bitterness. Eamon looks at her, wondering what her expression means. What is in her mind right now? "I know who did it," she bites her lip. "It's my sister..." She tries not to let the water fall down again. Eamon's shocked; all his eyes widen, but he says nothing and stays calm. "I'm so sorry." She tries so hard to look him in the face and lets him read her lips.

"It's not your fault," Eamon says in his deep, usual voice, with his warmth. He holds both her hands, calming her.

"It is. Because of me—because of me. You are like this—hic—you got hurt because of me—you almost died because of me—hic—hic." Killa has been depressed about this situation for so long while waiting for him to wake up.

"No, Killa, no..." He holds her tight in his arms. " It's not you," he says in her ear. It's her—not you, alright?" He hugs her tighter, squeezing her body. Then he tries to wipe her tears from her cheeks, but they keep running down. "I'm alive because of you, my sweet Killa. You're the one saving me." he tries his very best to appease her and let her know that it's not her responsibility at all.

"I don't want this anymore," she says lightly, but his ears seem to understand it very well.

'No, Killa,' He holds her back again, putting his face on her shoulder.

She leans her face to touch his and pulls herself away. "I don't want to see you get hurt..." she says directly to his face.

Eamon's getting sick in his stomach, keeping her so close; his eyes are wide. "I'm alright. I'm alright because of you...I'm standing here because of you." He's trying and trying, struggling at the same time. He wants that idea to get out of her brain.

"Eamon, I want to end this..." she says his first name. He is shocked. "I won't let this happen to you anymore." She stands her ground, and tears fall to her feet.

"What are you trying to say? Please, don't..." he pauses and struggles very hard. "Killa—don't leave me." He's confused and begging at the same time.

Killa tips her toes, grabs his collar, and kisses his lips so deeply. She moves her hands to grab his neck to pull him closer, letting him feel her tongue—or she just wants to feel him for the last time. Eamon kisses her passionately, devouring her demurely and gently enough to seem like he doesn't want to let her go, but then she pushes him back a little. "I love you," Killa says, and then she walks away.

She leaves the huge body in shock in his new place, a new home that he can call, stay, and even live together with for a long time.

But the dream has fallen.

Killa walks past the assistant who is standing in front of the door, listening to every word and conversation they have. "It doesn't have to end up like this." The assistant says,

"I don't want to see him get hurt..." she says, looking down at her feet on the cleanest new floor. She bites her lips and looks up at the new ceiling, "Ha—" she exhales, troubled to breathe, "I—" she pauses and looks directly at the assistant, "I love him so much—too much to let him—die." she says with the waterfall of her tears. "So please take care of him for me," she begs with all her heart.

"Always," The assistant says,

She smiles at him, "This place is beautiful," and walks away.

"You too, take care." The assistant says farewell.

Eamon realizes that the girl in front of him is gone. She's gone for real, and it's not even a nightmare that he had every night. 'Killa,'

So he runs out of his new place to find her on the street, but she's gone.

Gone.
