After that situation, and he's getting better, the stitches that Killa did for him are as good as the doctors themselves. Eamon doesn't let Killa stay alone for a minute. He takes her to the University and her apartment. Some nights, she sleeps with him at his place. For weeks, he's been following her around. One mistake or one unexpected vulnerability, those unwelcome guests might take the chance to get to her. However, during his protective mode, he must also clear the actual problem. He must solve the mess he has caused, so he must return to his old city; he doesn't go there by himself. His assistant takes the journey as his right hand. Then, Eamon needs someone whom he can rely on in every aspect to take care of her, being a watchman as the protector and also the servant—any fucking damn roles that he needs to be, to serve her and make her safe and feel safe. Leaving his only love behind is tragic, but the real tragedy is not being with her for his lifetime.
A guy Eamon sends to watch Killa guards her and takes her everywhere she needs. At first, he doesn't like her that much because of the troubles she has caused Eamon. He risked his life for a girl. He follows her to the University and waits until night. She keeps working on her projects, trying not to think about Eamon so much. She understands and tries not to make a fuss. She cares for his life, but she trusts Eamon's assistant and Eamon himself. Trust and hope that he will come back alive and hold each other soon. Because being away from each other forces her unforgettable emotional past to arise in her brain, every person she cares about might end up breathless and be away from her in this world. The more she loves and cares for someone, the more scared she is to live her life in rose color glasses.
Every night, she walks and sits in a place that Eamon takes her: the bench under the cherry blossoms, which are about to fall and lose their petals to the next season. Her odd action makes the new protector wonder how many thoughts she has in her mind that she has to come here and sit there and space out in the cold breeze every night.
They haven't talked in an actual conversation, only informing each other what the plan is next. One night, he was spying on her, seeing her with another guy who had tan skin. So he got a bad opinion of her, saying that she might have cheated on his Boss. He texted and informed Eamon as part of his daily routine. He has been reporting about Killa since the first day he worked. Eamon is adhering to the orders.
Also, another night, she was very drunk and spilled all her feelings for Eamon, crying out and calling him the whole night, and some nights, she even cried during sleep. Because weeks, almost months, have passed by. He's never called her or texted her or anything after he left.
The Angelo Art Gallery Museum.
The protector, whose name Killa doesn't even know, only says, Have you eaten? I'm going to that place, etcetera. He takes her to the Angelo Art Gallery Museum on her special day. On the day of the Art and Design major final year, students show and present their artworks to the audience, including students in any major, professors in any department, art lovers, outsiders, citizens of Zealand, or even trash collectors if they have the appropriate suit to enter. Everybody is invited to the event. The Angelo Art Gallery Museum is a public museum for anyone who is interested in art or any form of intellectual thinking. So, not many outsiders acknowledge the students' event today unless they unexpectedly visit here and notice the unusual section inside the museum. But yes, they are all welcome to admire.
Finally, the time that Killa's been waiting for has come. She finished all the projects, which are shown at this massive gallery on the island.
Killa's protector has separated her because she must introduce herself and greet her professors, mentors, and seniors who graduated last year and years before. The protector takes himself to look at and survey the artworks of Killa's classmates. Then he stops at the one art piece before him. The grand is different from other artworks. The sculpture was sculpted in tiny and weird shapes into many pieces in the pearl and sparkling cement, and if you look even closer, there is a little red dot twinkling inside together with the pearl, hanging in mid-air, giving space for each other to breathe. It looks weird and unique at the same time. While he stands there, trying to figure out the shape of the model, one of Killa's classmates approaches him.
"You need to step back to see the big picture, sir." The curly hair person says, and then the protector steps his foot back, "more, sir," the curly hair person says, and the protector takes another step, and another step as he watches the artwork until his sight is getting somewhere, the tiny weird shapes all put together in one colossal form and his eyes wide open. What an intelligent masterpiece. "Amazing, right?" the curly-haired man asks,
"Yeah," and glance at the name of the owner of this artwork, "fuck," he says lightly,
"We saw her doing this masterpiece, too." The shaved-head guy steps up from nowhere and stands beside him.
Killa's friends keep him company and tell the story behind the projects. The projects are all about her life between her and the most important person in her life. They know because of her presentations. That guy takes pictures of all of Killa's work and secretly sends them to Eamon.
After the exhausting night and the after-party, she intently goes back to the Boss's room and falls asleep there, where she sleeps in his big bed, which smells like him. That protector guy is still there watching her. All he thinks about is how a normal college girl could love her Boss sincerely and greatly like this. After all, she was kidnapped, so she must know about him, and she still chooses to be with him and still falls for him.
The door is opened and shut quietly. The protector who is standing, watching her, realizes there's a shadow behind him.
He almost shouts out.
"Shu..." Eamon is standing, which makes him shut his mouth. Then the guy is dismissed right away. Eamon walks toward Killa, who is sleeping with a pinkish face, holding his big t-shirt. "You're drunk again." He speaks to himself and sits on the mattress beside her delicate body. Touching her face on the hot cheek and slightly putting her falling hair behind her ear.
"I miss you, my Killa." He says, leans his body, and kisses her forehead gently. Eamon washes himself and rushes back to the bed. He is topless and still quite wet, but he doesn't even care. He gets on the bed and holds her up slightly to put his arm under her tiny body.
"Umm..." She makes some noises and turns her body into a huge body. And she slightly opens her eyes. She blinks several times and tries to focus on what she has seen in front of her. "Boss?" She calls,
"Yes, Killa," Eamon answers her call.
"Are you really boss?" she asks dreamily.
"Yes," he says softly,
She gets up and sits immediately, looking down at a topless man showing his muscles on the bed beside her. "Am I dreaming?" she asks,
"No, I miss you, Killa," he gets up, holds her, and kisses her after he calls her name.
Killa feels his kiss and all the senses she has been yearning for quite a long time. 'Is it real? Is it him?' Killa thinks, and she kisses him back, releases her lips, and sees the face in front of her again. "You're really my Boss," she says,
"Heh, yes," he chuckles a little bit and sees her with the most beautiful smile he has ever seen. Killa hurriedly gets up and moves her position to sit across his lap, facing him.
"I miss you," she says with a happy face and a little tear in both eyes. The dark room lights up the whole room and his heart.
"I miss you more." He holds her tight, and they kiss deeply, filled with the longing emotion for each other.
