Chapter 120 - The Appearance of Millenniummon

When Moss returned to the original Digital World, she had already canceled her magic reception. At this moment, she was lying in her natural form as Angewomon on Holy Dragon Beast's head, enjoying the feeling of the fluffy fur.

Holy Dragon Beast, surprisingly, also used telepathy to ask, "Where exactly did you go? Why did you bring Kari back with you?"

Moss replied, "I was ambushed by a guy called Millenniummon. Kari got dragged into it because of me. But don't worry — Kari simply got a glimpse of a much bigger world. There's no need for you to be so anxious."

"Who's anxious?!" Holy Dragon Beast grumbled, clearly annoyed, and said no more.

Moss chuckled lightly and continued resting atop Holy Dragon Beast's head, feeling the wind rush past while gently stroking the soft pink fur.

So soft and fluffy~

Elsewhere — at the ancient colosseum chosen as the battleground:

Tai Kamiya, Matt Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Izzy Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Joe Kido, and T.K. Takaishi...

These seven children, forged by ten years of hardship and battle, were no longer the same group of kids who once simply went camping. Within their unchanged young appearances lived battle-hardened souls!

There was a weariness in them that didn't match their youthful looks. Even their clothes had changed — their original outfits, supposedly data-proof in the Digital World, had shown wear and tear after ten years of conflict.

Thus, each of them now wore a brown, rugged cloak.

Tai Kamiya stood at the front as their leader.

He pulled out a letter of challenge and said, "Dark Masters, we're here as promised. Today — it ends!"

With that, he threw the challenge letter toward the other side.

Facing them were the Dark Masters — Piedmon, Machinedramon, Puppetmon, and MetalSeadramon.

The letter was originally written by Piedmon, who had realized that while these kids kept losing comrades, they were only growing stronger.

Rather than continue a cat-and-mouse game, he decided it was time for a final showdown.

So he threatened them using the Village of Beginnings as bait, forcing them to meet him here at the ancient colosseum for a decisive battle.

"This game has dragged on long enough," Piedmon said, catching the challenge letter. With a casual sleight of hand, he made the letter disappear.

"Cut the clown act," Tai said sharply, gripping his Digivice tightly.

The normally blue-white Digivice suddenly turned orange.

"Greymon, digivolve..."

Agumon, already evolved to MetalGreymon, had been battle-ready from the start. Upon receiving Tai's power, he immediately achieved an even higher form, transforming into a three-meter-tall dragon-man, armored in chrome digizoid, with three-pronged claws known as "Dramon Killers" on his arms.

"—WarGreymon!"

The other kids also raised their Digivices, which flashed in different colors: blue, red, purple, green, gray, and gold.

Their partner Digimon likewise gained strength and evolved:

"MetalGarurumon!"

"Phoenixmon!"

"HerculesKabuterimon!"

"Rosemon!"

"Vikemon!"

"MagnaAngemon!"

Both sides now stood in a tense standoff — the pressure was suffocating.

Piedmon saw the seven Ultimate-level Digimon lined up against him but laughed confidently, "Only seven? Nothing to fear."

Whoosh—

The winds stirred.

The final battle had begun.

WarGreymon charged MetalSeadramon. His Dramon Killers naturally countered dragon-types like MetalSeadramon.

MetalGarurumon faced Puppetmon, pitting the power of friendship against Puppetmon's heartless games.

Phoenixmon, HerculesKabuterimon, and Vikemon launched a massive frontal assault on Machinedramon — giant beasts clashing with enough force to shatter mountains.

Rosemon and MagnaAngemon teamed up against Piedmon, fighting with speed and technique rather than brute strength.

At first glance, the kids seemed to have the advantage.

But in the next moment — the situation reversed!

Boom!

MetalSeadramon bit down hard on WarGreymon, stopping him from using his Dramon Killers effectively. He slammed WarGreymon into the ground, smashing through the floor and sending water splashing everywhere.

The colosseum had been modified — underneath was a giant water pool!

"Bad news!" Izzy Izumi shouted. "MetalSeadramon has the terrain advantage!"

Water empowered MetalSeadramon and weakened WarGreymon, who struggled fiercely just to stay intact under MetalSeadramon's crushing bite.

Despite this, Tai remained calm: "It's fine — this was part of the plan."

They had anticipated traps, even that the Dark Masters would attack the Village of Beginnings. That's why they had left Digimon like Andromon, Piximon, and Ogremon to defend it.

In their battle plan, WarGreymon was not the real trump card. Victory didn't depend on individual fights — it depended on teamwork and timing.

Machinedramon was the strongest brute among the Dark Masters, needing to be tied down by three Ultimate Digimon at once — and that, too, was according to plan.

Piedmon, although tricky, could be handled with coordinated offense and defense: Rosemon would engage directly, while MagnaAngemon observed and unraveled his tricks.

Tai called out, "Matt!"

"I know!" Matt Ishida answered, pouring all his power into MetalGarurumon through his glowing blue Digivice.

MetalGarurumon unleashed an all-out barrage on Puppetmon, overwhelming his numerous gadgets with missiles and firepower.

The goal: defeat the weakest enemy first — then help WarGreymon.

Once Puppetmon fell, they could topple the rest like dominoes!

But Piedmon smirked, watching everything unfold: "So this was your plan? Did you really think we didn't plan anything?"

The Dark Masters had anticipated Puppetmon would be seen as the weak link.

Suddenly — Boom!

The surrounding decorations — life-size puppets — came alive!

One giant puppet, nearly as strong as an Ultimate Digimon, overwhelmed MetalGarurumon.

The kids gasped in shock.

Puppetmon cackled, "You thought I was the weakest? I'm gonna make you pay for underestimating King Puppetmon!"

Puppetmon's hidden puppet was built by the Metal Empire — its strength rivaled even Machinedramon's without the Infinite Cannon.

The kids realized with dread that if MetalGarurumon couldn't win quickly, the whole battle plan would collapse.

Just when the tide seemed to turn against them—

A pink figure streaked across the sky!

Holy Dragon Beast descended from above!

The massive dragon's body pressed Machinedramon down while it turned and blasted the giant puppet with Holy Flames.

Boom!

The puppet staggered backward.

Tai's eyes lit up — he didn't know where this dragon had come from, but he knew the tide was turning: "Now's the time!"

"MetalGarurumon!" Matt roared.

MetalGarurumon leaped into the water and unleashed an Absolute Zero Breath, freezing MetalSeadramon solid from the neck down.

In water, MetalSeadramon was king. But encased in ice — he was powerless.

WarGreymon took the chance to wrench himself free, drawing his Dramon Killers and leaping into the air.

"Terra Force Tornado!"

A golden tornado pierced MetalSeadramon's cannon-mouth, ripping through his body.

Boom!

MetalSeadramon fell — dead.

With two powerful Digimon now freed, they quickly turned to support the others.

"Retreat!" Piedmon yelled, sensing the disaster.

Puppetmon tried to flee but was instantly frozen by MetalGarurumon's Absolute Zero.

Meanwhile, WarGreymon soared behind Machinedramon, plunging both Dramon Killers into his neck.

"Gaia Force!"

Energy surged through the blades, rupturing Machinedramon's internal systems.

Frozen and shattered by a combination of Vikemon's Arctic Blizzard, Phoenixmon's Starlight Explosion, and HerculesKabuterimon's Giga Blaster, Machinedramon exploded into icy fragments.

Only Piedmon was left.

Surrounded by eight Ultimate Digimon, Piedmon didn't stand a chance — he was annihilated.

"Big brother!" Kari cried out as Moss carried her down to the battlefield.

"Kari?" Tai was stunned.

He had heard from Gennai about the arrival of the eighth DigiDestined. They had originally planned to wait until the eighth child appeared to challenge the Dark Masters.

But reality moved faster than plans.

He never imagined — the eighth child would be his own sister!

While Tai and Kari reunited, Moss walked over to Machinedramon's shattered remains, holding a pouch of fruit jelly.

She finished the jelly, scribbled five words on the empty bag: "Demon King Seal."

"Seal Spell!"

A wild wind swept up the fragments of Machinedramon.

Suddenly — the sky and earth changed.

Everything froze.

"?!" Moss turned and saw — the DigiDestined and their Digimon were all trapped in crystal-like prisons.

But it wasn't real crystal — it was compressed space-time.

"You finally came," said a new voice.

There was only one being capable of such a feat:

Millenniummon — the god of evil and time.

Millenniummon stared at Moss and whispered, "Banished by me to another dimension, yet you managed to return. As expected of the source of this butterfly effect."

Moss faced him calmly: "Millenniummon… who exactly are you?"

The Millenniummon Moss had previously seen should have already merged with Ryo Akiyama's partner. So who was this?

True, there were infinite Digital Worlds — infinite Millenniummons — but in this timeline, there shouldn't be two.

"I was born because of you," Millenniummon whispered.

Moss said mockingly, "If I'm your father, why raise your sword against me?"

I'm no King Arthur, and you're not Mordred...

Millenniummon glared at Moss, then continued, "You created the butterfly effect. You twisted space-time. You obstructed my birth."

Moss smiled faintly: "But here you are, anyway."

"I am the time-space residue of Millenniummon…"

Millenniummon transformed into a glowing amethyst crystal, containing two dragon souls inside.

Moon Millenniummon!

Relying on the tiniest bit of resentment, he resurrected himself through the butterfly effect.

The two dragon souls erupted — one turning orange, the other purple — and fused together, becoming

Final Millenniummon.

Enormous beyond belief, but not as exaggerated as some versions.

The twin dragon heads roared:

"Angewomon — you destroyed my future!"

Without Ryo Akiyama, without a future — that was not the future Millenniummon wanted!

All of this —

Was Moss's fault!

Roar!!

Orange and purple energy streams fused together into a cataclysmic blast.

Tiny Moss, in the form of Angewomon, looked as fragile as a lone leaf in a hurricane — about to be swallowed whole.
