Chapter 308 - Chapter 309: The Savior Loki

Chapter 309: The Savior Loki

"You are not allowed to insult the All-Father!"

Thor let out a furious roar, summoning a massive surge of lightning with Mjolnir to temporarily halt the two Hammer Elders, then swung his hammer toward Kur.

However, Kur only unleashed divine beams from his eyes, blasting Thor away with ease.

"Your father is just a usurper. I am the true All-Father, the rightful ruler of Asgard!"

  "Thor, are you okay?"

At that moment, Tony, wearing his golden legendary battle suit, flew in from the distance and caught Thor midair.

He had seen the situation in Washington on TV and rushed over immediately.

"I'm fine. This little injury is nothing."

Thor stood up, the wound on his chest inflicted by the divine beam slowly healing.

Tony turned his head toward Kur:

"Hey, drama queen, has anyone ever told you that your face is just begging to be punched? Didn't your father teach you what manners are?"

"Actually, his father is my grandfather. He's my uncle."

Thor reminded him from the side.

  Tony looked a bit surprised:

"What's up with your family? Why is everyone nuts? First your brother, now your uncle."

"Loki was adopted, and this one is just an accident."

Thor glanced at the Hammer Elders regrouping around them:

"Anyway, now's not the time to talk about this. Let's figure out how to take them down!"

  "One each."

Tony popped out Uru metal claws from his arms and extended a divine laser cannon from his back.

But before he could act, a furious roar echoed from afar:

"Tony Stark, you damned bastard! I will return the humiliation you gave me a hundredfold!"

A blaze ignited in the distance as Killian, wielding a massive red hammer, charged at Tony in fury, ignoring the nearby Asgardian soldiers.

"Hey, do we even know each other? What grudge do you have against me?!"

Seeing Killian coming, Tony had no choice but to meet him head-on, while Thor was again left fighting two opponents alone.

Although Tony's arrival helped with one of the Hammer Elders, the Asgardian side remained at a disadvantage, as four Hammer Elders still had no match.

Fortunately, at that moment, a strange spaceship suddenly appeared above the battlefield.

A figure in a Black Panther suit, followed by a group of bald female warriors wielding spears, leapt down from the ship and joined the fray. Their target: the Hammer Elder wearing a black Panther suit and wielding a black hammer.

"Father, please come to your senses!"

It turned out that the wielder of Kur's black divine hammer was the former Black Panther, T'Chaka, and his son T'Challa had brought the royal guard to save him and break Kur's control over his mind.

With the Black Panther's side entering the battle, another Hammer Elder was occupied, and the battlefield began to stabilize—somewhat.

But the problem was, the strongest—Kur—had yet to make his move.

"Foolish mortals, let me grant you some real power!"

Kur glanced at the HYDRA soldiers who, without the Hammer Elders, would've been decimated by the Asgardian army. He frowned slightly, then waved his scepter, dispersing some of his fear energy.

The HYDRA soldiers, upon receiving Kur's fear power, showed twisted, terrified expressions. Their bodies rapidly swelled and deformed, transforming into snake-scaled monsters with immense strength.

The balance was instantly shattered once more. The Asgardian army began to collapse.

"Looks like it's time to move."

Hidden in the sky, George saw this and realized the moment had come for him to act.

But just as he was about to make a move, he suddenly paused.

  "Why is he here?"

Because at that moment, a magical rift opened on the battlefield, and Loki appeared, wearing a crown and accompanied by a seductive woman.

Behind them stood a host of towering Frost Giant warriors.

"Hahaha! Pathetic mortals, your savior has arrived!"

  "Loki?"

Thor, seeing Loki, froze for a moment—and the two Hammer Elders took advantage of the moment to pummel him fiercely.

"My dear brother, surprised? I broke out and went to Jotunheim, where I united all the Frost Giants!

From today onward, I'll show the All-Father that I am his most valuable son!"

Loki pointed at Kur with a hand on his hip, proudly declaring:

"My brave warriors! Go take that guy down for me!"

After his last plan failed and he was imprisoned, he met the Enchantress Lorelei in jail. The two joined forces—her enchantment and his hypnosis allowed them to control Asgardian guards, open the prison gates, and sneak out.

With Odin still in Asgard, they dared not act there, so they planned to head to Jotunheim.

Taking advantage of the chaos in Jotunheim after the death of Frost Giant King Laufey, they seized the opportunity.

Since Loki already carried the blood of the Frost Giants, a few plots and spells were enough for him to take over as the new Frost Giant King.

Last time, his naïve brother Thor came to Jotunheim, thinking he settled the turmoil himself, but in reality, Loki had already seized control behind the scenes.

Still, he didn't lead the Frost Giants to attack Asgard.

First, with Odin there, it would've been suicidal. Second, Loki didn't really want to attack Asgard.

While in prison, he had a change of heart. If Odin wanted him to be King of the Frost Giants, then he'd be just that—just to show Odin how wrong he was.

When he learned Kur had broken free, he gathered his Frost Giant army and used a magical rift to travel to Earth.

He wanted to be the savior—to utterly outshine Thor—so that all mortals would worship him and see that he was superior to Thor.

"This guy is seriously an overdramatic tsundere."

Hovering invisibly in the sky, George couldn't help twitching his mouth at the sight of Loki spreading his arms and striking flamboyant poses.

Kur looked at the mass of charging Frost Giants with slight confusion:

"Why are the Frost Giants of Jotunheim siding with Asgard?"

Back when he was sealed, Jotunheim and Asgard were mortal enemies.

But soon, a sneer formed on his face:

"Laufey didn't come? You think you can deal with me?"

He morphed his scepter into a massive long-handled axe, grabbed it with one hand, and poured in divine power. With a single sweeping blow, the dozens-of-meters-tall Frost Giants were cleaved in two like weeds.

With just a dozen swings, a third of the Frost Giant army emerging from the rift was already gone.

If it were Laufey with the Eternal Casket, Kur might have hesitated. But these ordinary Frost Giants were no more dangerous to him than ants.
