I watch as the Royal guards drag her along the busy market street. Her striking white hair the first thing you notice as she passes. Her screams go on deaf ears and the atmosphere is tense, as hate-filled stares are on her.
silence. It was all he could say to her.
"Good night, Your Highness," she said coldly to him.
Tanya went to sleep that night feeling frustrated as she usually was whenever she talked to Malek. She was annoyed at the guilty look he had been giving her lately. Why was he acting like he was the one who was being wronged? Tanya didn't know if she would have preferred he yelled at her for speaking so bluntly with him or if she preferred the resigned reaction he would give her instead.
