Malek was stunned when Tanya walked into the room. She looked stunning in the dress he had picked out for her.
"Is something the problem?" Tanya noticed Malek's incessant gaze on her.
"No there isn't, you just look so stunning in that dress," Malek replied.
Tanya wanted to roll her eyes but instead smiled. "Thank you, Your Highness," Tanya accepted his compliment.
"Please sit," he said
"Thank you for the gifts you sent to me," Tanya expressed her gratitude
"There's more to come so don't worry about it," he said.
The two ate their dinner as Malek talked about his duties and to her. Tanya listened and politely
Tanya felt restless and agitated but did her best not to show it. He was being so friendly and polite. She wondered if this is how it was always going to be. Playing pretend couple forever.
They finished the main meal and moved onto dessert. Malek continued on talking as if all was well and Tanya began to reach a tipping point.
