Chapter 16 - The truth Unravelled

Yami's consciousness drifted into the depths of his mind, where darkness swallowed sound and space. In the void, a figure emerged—Unravelled. The demon's eyes blazed with an unholy fire, its aura suffocating, as though it drained the very air from the realm.

"Lucky... this time, Yami," Unravelled hissed, its voice like a rusted gate grinding open. "But the moment I sense weakness... I'll consume you. You're no match for my power."

Yami's thoughts trembled, fear clawing at the edges of his will. The demon was growing stronger—too strong. He was running out of time.

"You'll never control me!" Yami's mind roared in defiance.

Unravelled laughed—a cold, mirthless sound that echoed through the void. "We'll see about that. You're a mere mortal, trembling in the shadow of my darkness."

The demon surged forward, its presence ready to overwhelm him—until a sudden burst of light carved through the shadows.

"Dagger!" Yami's mind called out in relief.

Her spirit emerged, radiant and commanding. Her eyes burned with purpose as she raised her hand.

"Unravelled, begone!" Her voice cracked like a whip.

The demon recoiled, snarling as its form faltered beneath her brilliance. "This isn't over, Yami... I'll return. And next time, you won't be so lucky." With a final hiss, it vanished into the void.

Dagger turned to Yami, her expression stern and unwavering.

"You need to train harder," she said. "Sophia—Lucifer's maid—was only a test. You're not ready for what lies ahead."

Yami's resolve solidified, his thoughts burning with determination.

"Where do I need to go to master the Crest?"

Dagger's gaze deepened, her voice taking on a mystic resonance. "The Realm of the Elements. Seek out the Ancient Ones—they alone can teach you the secrets of the Crest. But be warned, Yami… the journey is perilous. The trials will push you to your limits and beyond."

She stepped closer, her form shimmering. "The Realm of the Elements exists beyond the physical world. It is a dimension woven from the primal forces—earth, air, water, and fire. To enter, your spirit must resonate with the frequency of the elements themselves."

Dagger raised her hand, and an image formed in Yami's mind: a great crystal, its facets glowing in elemental hues.

"You must harmonize with the crystal's resonance. When your spirit aligns with its frequency, the path will open."

The vision shifted to a forest ancient beyond reckoning. Towering trees whispered secrets to the wind.

"The portal lies hidden within the heart of this mystical forest. To reach it, you'll face trials that will test your courage, your mind, and your heart."

Yami's heart beat faster. The danger ahead no longer deterred him—it called to him.

"The gateway will reveal itself when the time is right," Dagger said, her presence beginning to fade. "Remember this, Yami: the Realm of the Elements is not just a place. It is a crucible. Be ready for the unknown... and may the elements guide you."

Hours passed. When Yami awoke, he found himself lying on a soft mattress in Olympus. Misami had fallen asleep beside him, her head resting on his lap.

He looked down at her, guilt in his voice.

"Sorry... for making you worry so much."

A voice broke the silence.

"You're finally awake, huh." Jayson stood nearby, arms crossed, his tone unreadable.

Yami sat up slightly, his voice hesitant. "Yeah... Jayson, I—"

"Let me stop you right there," Jayson interrupted. "I know you've got questions about me. But what matters is—I'm on your side. And as for that thing that took over you..."

Yami's eyes narrowed. "You know something about it, don't you?"

Jayson nodded solemnly. "Its real name is Yashoro Hexagon. And I'll show you how I know."

A sudden glow enveloped Yami as Jayson focused. In the blink of an eye, Yami was pulled into a vision—Jayson's memory.

In the memory, a tall man with commanding presence—Jayson's father—stood before a younger Jayson, his eyes grave.

"Jayson, my son," he said, "there's something you must know. The Demon Lord Yashoro Hexagon... it is the embodiment of ruin."

The older man's voice grew heavier.

"It has unraveled the foundations of entire realms. Worlds have turned to dust beneath its power. The very laws of reality crumble in its wake."

Yami's breath caught. He could feel the raw malevolence described.

"Its creator remains unknown, but its destruction is real. You, Jayson, have the rare ability to sense its presence—that's why I trained you, prepared you... for the day it would rise again."

The memory faded, pulling Yami back to the present. He looked at Jayson, whose expression had hardened.

"Yami," he said firmly, "you must never let that demon break free. Its power is too great, too dangerous. I've searched for you because you're the only one who can help me contain it. Together, we keep it sealed—no matter the cost."

Yami looked into Jayson's eyes and saw no doubt—only conviction. The battle against Yashoro Hexagon had already begun.
