In the beginning, there was nothing. No space, no time, and certainly no life. As void as a wasteland, as dark as the depths of the ocean, and as quiet as a vacant forest. There would never be quite the same quiet within the abyss from which everything sprung forth.
As if a timer had been set, three beings were expunged from the abyss.
The first born was Alpha. Within him, the universe was born. All space and all matter were born the moment he took his first thought. The abyss surrounding them was filled with the new canvas of the universe that would house every creation. Yet only Alpha could paint on this tapestry. His body reflected the tapestry as the universe was around him and presented within him.
The second born was Gamma. Within her, time was created. The flow of time started as she took her first thought. This flow had many branches, like a river running off a mountain. Each branch could have been the main flow. Yet only Gamma could decide which stream would dominate. Her body would show the time in ever different ways, from stone shadows to that of digital.
The last born was Omega. Within them, the laws governing everything were created. The laws took hold as they took their first thought. These laws caused the space to grow and time to go forward. Yet only Omega could read and write the laws. Their body showed off the life not yet born into the universe though they would never quite match with any life that would spawn.
With the three created, our universe well and truly began. Yet something remained missing from the three. The ability to imagine.
