"No. It wasn't like that," Cristal denied. Tears flowed freely down her cheeks, staining and ruining her make-up.
Her eyes remained puffy, her lashes fluttering with every second.
"I loved you. I cared and you genuinely fell in love with me."
"Never!" Jace hollered, pressing his foot against the brake pad.
"Never you say that again."
Keeping his eyes straight ahead, he drove the car again, leaving Cristal to wallow in her own self-pity.
As they pulled up to their luxurious penthouse, both of them alighted from the car with Cristal sluggishly making her way towards him.
As soon as she got close, she attempted to hold Nicholas when he turned to face her once more, his blue eyes steely and devoid of any warmth.
"I want you to get inside and pack your remaining things," he commanded with a voice devoid of emotion.
