Avril turned around and gulped a breath of cold air, "Pete? Why are you here?"
"Oh, it's a long story," Pete seemed a little unnatural.
"I came to inform you that Haider had an urgent matter to attend to, so he left first. He asked me to come to you and apologize on his behalf." He explained to her.
Avril felt like Pete's voice had vanished, and she was unable to understand what he was saying.
She could only feel the cold wind whistling in her ears, as well as the chill penetrating her bones.
"Okay, it must be something very important. So important that he had to leave on our honeymoon..." Avril heard her own disappointed voice utter.
"It was an accident," Pete comforted her.
"He's really sorry. I believe he didn't do it on purpose."
"I understand," Avril said, nodding.
"It doesn't matter, we can still come tomorrow, "she continued.
She turned around, decided on returning to the hotel and rest.
