Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Some of the items Cashew was interested In was a Cloak, it was a bit big on him, but Cashew still has time to grow, the Cloak had a hood, was dark Brown, and would drag on the ground as he walked, but he can't change that, or not wear it for a year or two.

Another Item of interest Cashew found was a book, an empty book, a notebook. A tree and leather. Nothing seemed special about it.

Another Item Cashew was interested in was also a book, but an encyclopedia of sorts of all the different animals within the Country he lives in.

There wasn't much else Cashew was interested in, he looked at the store owner, who looked back at him.

Cashew: How much for this animal encyclopedia and this book full of empty pages?

Cashew held up the items so the store owner could see what Cashew was talking about.

Store Owner: The empty Book? 20 Copper Coins. The Encyclopedia? 400 Copper Coins.

Cashew: What a large price difference... Ok, what about this Cloak?

Cashew held up the Cloak for the store owner to see, Cashew was on the other side of the store while the Store Owner sat in a chair with a small round table in front of him.

Store Owner: The Cloak? 50 Copper Coins.

Cashew Nodded and put the cloak with the books down on a shelf near him.

Cashew spent another minute looking, but not finding anything, so he Casually picked up a charcoal pencil with a wooden covering and a piece of metal.

Cashew: is this a whetstone?

Cashew whispered to himself, before holding it up for the store owner to see.

Cashew: Is this a Whetstone?

Store Owner: Yeah, 300 Copper Coins.

Cashew held up the charcoal pencil as well.

Cashew: What about this?

Store Owner: 1 Copper coin.

Cashew: So everything I showed you would be 771 Copper coins? The two books, the cloak, Whetstone, and the charcoal pencil?

Store Owner: Your math is right, but I'm giving you a "Pain in my Ass" Tax of 29 copper coins. As well as a "Disrupting Business" Tax of an additional 200 Copper Coins. So you owe me 1 Silver coin.

Cashew: Id love to argue with you over the Bullshit Taxes, but I don't care at this point, so fine.

Cashew carried the 5 items to the Store Owner and Handed him a single silver coin,

The store owner looked at the items to make sure Cashew had the right things, then handed them back and shoo-ed him away.

Cashew put the two books, the whetstone, and the charcoal pencil into his shoulder bag, which was now feeling very cramped, with 6 books inside of it, and carried the cloak neatly folded in his hands.

As Cashew walked down the street, people were still giving him suspicious glances, not trusting of him at all. Cashew didn't care and kept walking.

But suddenly, Cashew felt someone yank his shoulder bag off of him and started running away, robbing Cashew, everyone who was Giving Cashew suspicious glares started laughing and cheering for the robber, tossing a few insulting comments at Cashew such as "Get out!" And "You're not welcome in our village!".

Cashew sighed and looked in the direction the Robber was running, raising his hand and forming and Ice Spike in front of his palm. Launching it at the person who stole his bag.

The Robber looked back with a smile on his face, but that smile instantly turned into a frown as he watched the Ice Spike come flying his direction.

The ice Spike pierced behind the man's left knee, sending him crashing into the ground screaming in pain, clutching his leg with tears forming in his eyes.

Cashew calmly approached the Robber, everyone else is suddenly quiet and backing away.

Cashew grabbed his shoulder bag from the robber and put it back over his head and on his shoulder, not forgetting to stomp his foot onto the robbers leg that was shot with an Ice Spike. Casuing his leg to disconnect completely and him to scream in even more pain, with more tears filling his eyes as he rolled around on the floor.

Cashew crotched down next to the guy, put a hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eyes.

Cashew: I know you're in pain, but I need to make an example out of you should someone else try to do what you did. I won't ask for your forgiveness, just know that I need to turn you into an example.

As Cashew said that, his other hand raised up and he started to form a Poison Ball, the robber recognized it immediately and started crawling away, begging for Cashew not to.

Cashew didn't listen to the man's cries and launched the Poison Ball into his face. The poison seeped into the Robbers eyes, nose and mouth, causing him to clutch his head in pain, crying blood and vomiting blood as well, Rolling around in agonizing pain.

Cashew stood up and looked at the crowd on the edge of the streets, looking at Cashew, some had eyes full of fear, others had eyes full of hatred, Cashew looked at all of them with a blank stare and opened his mouth to speak.

Cashew: Someone gets robbed and instead of helping them, you cheer on the Robber and throw insults at the person who was Robbed. Stuff like this is how Villains are made. Not many people are Evil for the sake of being Evil. They turn Evil because of the abuse and Neglect caused by those around them. If in 10, 15, 20, or even 30 years, this village is being Massacred by me, think of this moment as the start of why. You can only blame yours-...

Cashew stopped talking and Chuckled.

Cashew: Oh, who am I kidding... If I do end up Massacreing this entire village, you're not gonna blame yourself. You're gonna tell people that I did it for the sake of doing it and wonder where I went wrong. You have no concept of accountability. As far as you all are concerned, nothing is your fault and I'm Evil for the sake of being Evil.

After Cashew finished his speech, he started walking away some people watched him with even more hatred in their eyes, some had complicated looks in their eyes, others had even more fear in their eyes, as if his words were an Omen or a promise to massacre them all. Some people even wanted to get violent, starting to walk towards Cashew, wanting to punt him in anger, only to be stopped by their spouses.

The entire area was Silent with the exception of the Robber screaming in pain from the Poison Magic.

Onlooker #1: We need to catch the brat and throw him in jail.

Onlooker #2: No, we can't. Let's just hope one of the guards catches him and brings him to justice.

Onlooker #1: But it's a kid? We don't need to wait for the guards, just grab his collar and carry him to a guard tower. Even if he can use magic, he's not overpowering an adult.

Onlooker #3: I bet he's a spy from the Nation of Drembord!

Onlooker #4: Yeah! He's gotta be a spy! How else can we explain his sudden appearance? Look at how much chaos he's caused since he came here yesterday!

Onlooker #5: What if his words were an Omen? What if Drembord has this secret plan and will attack this village in the near future?

Cashew stopped listening to the Gossip and kept heading towards the Gate to leave.

Cashew Reached the Gate and seemed to luck out. The guard at the gate was dealing with a Horse and Carriage. Based on what little Cashew could hear, the Carriage was full of weapons, armor, potions, and equipment for the battlefield.

Not wanting to miss a chance, Cashew sneaked past and exited the village unseen by the guard.

Some Villagers were screaming at the guard to stop Cashew, but by the time the guard noticed, Cashew was already out of sight.

Cashew stopped when he reached the small road and went up onto it, he stopped running at this point as well.

Cashew: I wonder if those guards will go out of their way to find me. I know at least one of them knows I moved into this house... I need to get a Golem built...

Cashew told himself as he walked, contemplating how he would build the Golem.

Cashew: I understand the process of building a Golem better than making Runes, so I should make a Golem first, then move onto Rune Crafting.

Cashew finally reached his house and searched the area, He was looking for a Rock. He knew that one of the Golem crafting methods involved inscribing a very specific Rune onto a Stone or any material, but Cashew chose Stone.

He didn't know how big the stone needed to be, he assumed a bigger stone would require a larger amount of Mana, So Cashew was looking for a stone that was the Size of his torso.

5 Hours. Cashew spent 5 Hours walking through the forest looking for a stone approximately the size of his Torso. He finally did find a stone. It was a bit smaller than his torso, its size was more comparable to the large Crystal he has, but this is the closest he was able to find and he will use it.

Cashew sat on the stone in question and pulled out his Golem Construction Spellbook, looking for the page with the Rune he needed. The Rune was very complicated, but in essence, the Rune was just a Singular Circle, With Several Different Triangles drawn on it, With words Cashew can't read at each Triangle Point, as well as more words on the sides of each Triangle. The Rune needed to be drawn on the entire Surface of what you chose as a core, as much of the surface as possible. You also need to draw a different Rune onto the stone that would act as a connection between all of the other Runes you drew. That one would be where you inject Mana into the stone.

Not knowing how long this would take, Cashew took out the charcoal pencil and what was left of the dragon meat. The meat was still warm somehow.

Cashew looked at the meat with a complicated expression, the Old Man said he had to eat as much as he could in one go, So Cashew was gonna try and choke down all that was left of the dragon meat and hope it increases his Mana enough to power up the Golem Core when he's done.

In the Village, Rognil and 3 Unnamed guards were looking at the body of the man who tried to Rob Cashew. Rognil has a complicated expression, upset with himself as he let Cashew into the village and Cashew was the murderer.

Unnamed Guard #1: Sir, You know where the boy lives, Right? We should go down there and bring him to justice!

Rognil: I know. I tried to be nice, but I guess I can't do that anymore. I'll head over there now. You don't need to come with me, just clean up the poor blokes body and tell everyone that the kid will be rotting in a cell soon enough.

As Rognil walked away, a few villagers that were close enough to hear started cheering, Happy that the murderer captured soon and they can sleep easy.

Rognil: It's still depressing though. What a young age to be arrested. He knows magic too? He had such a bright future ahead of him.

Rognil was heading towards the Cabin that he believes Cashew is staying at, with the intent to bring him to justice.
