Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

Cashew Rushed outside to his Stone Golem again.

Cashew: Hey, Stone Golem. You remember where I finished Constructing you? Can you head back over there and Collect the animal Carcasses that you see?

Without Hesitation, The Stone Golem did exactly as ordered and headed back to the location Cashew constructed it. Cashew was surprised at this, watching the Golem leave then heading back inside.

Cashew: I guess while I wait, I can learn a few new spells. All the magic I have currently is Poison Ball, Ice Spike, Fire Ball, Poison Rune, and Water Rune. I'll need a few defensive spells to survive.

Cashew walked into his house and sat in the chair.

Cashew: I also have that Restoration spell, but the Dragon Meat gave me a Natural healing ability that outshines the magic, so I'm not considering that one anymore.

Cashew took his shoulder bag off and pulled a Spellbook out, looking at all the different spells inside and deciding which ones are more important.

After about 20 minutes, The Stone Golem came back with 6 Animal Carcasses. 3 Wolves, a Boar, and two foxes.

Cashew heard it's footsteps shaking the ground and met the Stone Golem outside,

The Stone Golem dropped the carcasses and waited new orders, and Cashew told it to go back to the spot it chose and deconstruct itself, waiting for any potential enemies and defending against them.

Cashew dragged the animal carcasses closer to the front door of his house, pulling out the Dadger to start skinning them and preparing them For later.

Cashew had the hide of a Boar, 3 Wolves, and two foxes, as well as the carcasses. He wanted to try something. He remembered in the one book that Necromancers like Ice magic because they can use it to freeze dead people so they don't rot, so Cashew wanted to try that. Use Ice magic to freeze the carcasses so they don't rot before he's ready to eat them.

Cashew decided to try and turn Ice Ball into a mist like spell , after some trial and error, he was able to get an icy mist created, so Cashew tried using the Icy Mist on a Fox carcass, which froze the carcass, it had ice crystals on it and everything. Cashew feels like Ice crystals are bad, but it means it's working, which Cashew is happy for. He use the Ice Mist to freeze all the other carcasses and brought them inside, placing them on the Pig Pelt on the floor inside the house.

Cashew: I don't want any floor dirt getting on the meat. Id wash it before cooking it anyways, but I wanna be safe.

Cashew took the wolf pelt and placed all 3 of them on the bed with the fur pointing up. And climbed into the bed, wanting to use the Animal pelts as a buffer between him and the bed, still afraid he might catch a disease from laying directly onto the bed.

Cashew layed down on the bed, holding his Mana Crystal in his hand, looking at it.

Cashew: When was the last time I went to sleep without the assistance of Mana Exhaustion? What's my plan when Mana Exhaustion no longer causes me to lose consciousness?

Cashew thought about that for a moment, then started pumping Amana into the Mans crystal, even though he was low on Mana, it still took a minute for Mana Exhaustion to kick in, so the Dragon Meat must have really worked onincreasing his Mana pool.

6 hours Later, Cashew woke up to the sound of violence outside. Jumping out of bed to see what's happening, Cashew Saw his Stone Golem and Stilh fighting, there was also 3 other Guards with Stilh fighting the Stone Golem with him.

Stilh darted his eyes to Cashew standing at his door, a look of hatred filled his eyes.

Stilh: You... You piece of shit.

Cashew: God dammit... Stone Golem. Cease fighting.

Stilh: You got some nerve, don't you, you little brat.

Cashew: Care to tell me why you're so hostile right now?

Stilh: Don't play dumb. You know exactly what you did.

While Talking, Stilh was walking towards Cashew with a determined Expression.

Cashew: I- ... I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.

One of the unnamed guards sounded on the verge of tears.

Unnamed Guard #1: How many people have you killed where you don't even remember what happened?...

Cashew: I've killed... 4 people. The 3 Bandits who lived here before me and that guy who Robb- Oh! That's why you're here? Because I killed a guy that tried to Rob me? Is Self defense not a concept in your eyes?

Unnamed Guard #2: How can you not remember killing Rognil?...

At this point, Stilh has reached Cashew and grabbed him by the arm, Dragging Cashew.

Cashew: I suggest you unhand me. And Rognil is dead? How unfortunate. How did he die?

Unnamed Guard #1: You little Psychopath! How could you not remember killing Rognil? He was nothing but good to you, granted, you only knew him for a few days, but he was nothing but good to you in those few days!

Cashew was still being dragged aby Stilh, he let out a sigh.

Cashew: Stilh, You got 3 Seconds to unhand me.

Stilh did not listen and Cashew started Counting to 3. Stilh didn't even flinch at the counting, continuing to drag Cashew away from his home and down the road back to the village.

Stilh: You're most likely getting hanged for the Murder of Rognil, but I honestly can't wait to see your body fall. They'd probably try to hang you via neck breaking, but let's face it, youre not heavy enough. You'll most likely suffocate to death. Which so many people will enjoy watching.

As Stilh was daydreaming about watching Cashews execution, he didn't notice Cashew prepare an Ice Spike and Shoot it into his leg, causing Stilh to collapse over in pain, screaming.

Cashew: I warned you to unhand me. But I'm in a good mood, so your guard friends can carry you back to the village. But if you or any other guards come back here again, they will die.

Cashew Gestured for the unnamed guards to come and collect the injured Stilh, which they hesitantly did so.

Cashew: I'm sorry for what happened to Rognil, but he didn't die by my hands.

Unnamed guard #3: Bullshit! Rognil died the exact same way as the guy who robbed you, by poison magic! If that wasn't you, then who else can use poison magic?

Cashew: I don't know what you're talking about about. But Stilh looks rather pale, don't you think you should get him back to the village instead of arguing with me over this?

The guards looked at Stilh and saw that Cashew was right, he does look pale, so they reluctantly fled back to the village.

Unnamed Guard #3: This isn't over, little man! You will be brought to justice, and soon!

The guards all left Cashews Sight, Cashew sighed and looked at his Stone Golem.

Cashew: I hope you memorized their faces and appearance. If they ever come back or if people wearing the same stuff as them come here, kill them.

The Stone Golem nodded and went back to its spot. Cashew went inside and sat in his chair, wondering what to do about this.

Cashew: What should I do?... I don't know for certain, but the merchant doesn't seem to care as long as I have coin, same with the Old Man. I have that cloak I bought earlier, maybe it can hide my identity? Id also have to sneak into the village over the walls...

Cashew was thinking of many different ways to get into the village, he could scout the walls and see the best spot for climbing over them. He suddenly remembered the cart that was getting into the village, if that cart came every day, then maybe Cashew could sneak in through that Cart,

After thinking, Cashew has no reason to return to the village, he would like to turn his Big Crystal into an Orb one day, he also forgot to buy cooking supplies when he was at the Merchant, such as a pot, bowl, a spoon of sorts-...

When thinking about Cooking, Cashew remembered that he could find a Claw deposit and make a Pot and bowl out of clay. But thinking about this made him hungry.

Cashew grabbed what remained of the bedside table and took it outside, starting a fire and using it as fuel, While letting the fire get a bit bigger, Cashew went in and grabbed a Fox carcass, canceling out the ice magic on it and cutting the meat up, placing it over the fire.

10 minutes later, Cashew found himself eating the entire Fox carcass and still being hungry afterwards.

Cashew: Oh God... Did the dragon meat increase my appetite as well?

Cashew was not happy over this, if he was right, then he'd need to hunt more food to keep himself fed.

Deciding not to be a glutton, Cashew headed to the trap he dug earlier to see if he happened to catch something.

Reaching the trap, the hole was messed with, as if he caught something, but the hole was empty, so whatever fell in got out.

Hearing his stonach growl, Cashew found himself deciding to head back to where he saw all those monsters from earlier fight.

Finally reaching the clearing of monsters, Cashew found it still pretty empty. Some monsters have returned, but mostly big ones, such as the Crystal Bears- Or, as the Old Man called them, the "Crystalized Monts".

Cashew saw that the Baby Dragon Carcass was still there, the Crystals he neglected to collect were not there, but the dragon Carcass was still there.

Cashew was eyeing the Dragon Carcass, it looked no more rotted than it did the previous day, it had no maggots or anything on it, there was a small Crystalized Mont feeding on the neck wound, though.

Cashew was currently weighing the pros and cons of getting more dragon meat. A pro would be more Mana and natural healing. A Con would be needing to fight these monsters off. Another con would be having his stomach explode again.

Cashew decided to be greedy and go after the dragon meat, Cashew slowly approached the Crystalized Mont that was eating the dragon Carcass, it noticed Cashew almost immediately and started roaring at him, trying to scare him off.

Yesterday, while Cashew was waiting for the Stone Golem to bring the animal Carcasses back, Cashew was able to learn 2 new spells.

The first spell was a barrier spell, it was listed as great for blocking magical attacks as well as blocking physical attacks. It listed itself as not cost expensive, for how effective it is. It was listed as a Tier 2 Barrier spell. Which is the strongest barrier spell a new mage could have and the best you can get before age 500.

The second spell Cashew learned was a basic magic bolt. It had no elemental properties, it was the same as a fireball, but pure magic instead. No fire, no ice, no earth, poison, nothing. Raw magic.

Cashew watched the Crystalized Mont Bare its teeth and Roar at him. It seemed like a Younger one. At least younger than the one that killed the dragon.

After seeing Cashew Not back down, the Crystalized Mont charged towards Cashew, Raising a paw to strike him down.
