The Mother dragon is at least 5 times the size of the baby dragon, very similar appearance to the baby, but it's scales are a darker shade of red.
Before the Crystal Bear could even react, the Mother dragon lowered her head and bit down on the Crystal Bear, pushing the Crystal Bear into the ground and moving her head in a violent swaying motion, dragging the Crystal Bear around before tossing it into the air and swallowing it in one bite.
All of the other monsters in the area fled, except for the tree Monsters. The Mother Dragon lowered its head and sniffed it's dead baby, licking it a few times, as if trying to wake it up.
The ground started to shake again, and then, a Rock that Cashew thought was just a Giant Rock, a Boulder, started moving. The rock started sucking in other rocks and even the rocks beneath the earth towards it, forming a giant body out of rocks and boulders.
Cashew: Stone Golem?...
Cashew watched in awe, the Stone Golem was at least twice the size of the already massive Mother Dragon, but the Stone Golem didn't attack. It just stared down at the Mother Dragon. The Mother Dragon didn't seem scared either, the two just stared at each other for a moment.
The Dragon then let out what seemed like a Sigh, Looked at her dead baby one last time, then took off into the air, flying back the direction she came from.
The Stone Golem looked at the Dead Baby Dragon for a moment, then went back to its spot and deconstructed itself.
The entire area was Silent. Only the sound of wind and the occasional Monster Tree tossing an animal Carcass into its mouth.
Feeling Greedy, Cashew looked to make sure the coast was clear, then bolted to where the Crystal Bear and the Baby Dragon fought.
There were 8 Crystals. 2 of them were the Size of an adult humans head while the rest were the size of Cashews hand, He snatched as many small crystals as he could and rushed to the dragon Carcass Neck wound, pulling out his Dadger and trying to cut some Dragon Meat out for food. He was only able to get a small piece, it was skinny and was the length of his forearm, but it was better than nothing. Cashew also saw a loose Dragon Scale and decided to rip it out and take it as well. Afraid the monsters would return and see him, Cashew Rushed towards one of the bigger Crystals and carried it away, rushing out of the clearing and running back the way he came.
Cashew Kept running and Running, His Wolf Hide bag was full of Crystals and a Dragon Scale, his hands were carrying dragon meat and an even bigger Crystal. He was hugging the bigger Crystal as he ran, not wanting to drop it.
Cashew eventually reached the Dilapidated house. The second one, not the one that He killed those bandits at and rushed inside, wanting to catch his breath for a few minutes and slow down. He should be far enough away from the monster clearing that he can walk instead of run now.
Finally catching his breath, Cashew glanced around the house he was in. The inside had several blood stains on the floor and a blood stained chair in the middle of the room, as well as no roof and what looks like fire damage.
Deciding not to stick around the area he assumes someone was tortured and murdered, Cashew exited the house and made his way back to the First Dilapidated house. At least that one has a full roof.
Cashew spent 2 hours walking back to the Cabin he's gonna call home for the next few years and went inside, dropping his Wolf hide bag, well. He didn't drop it, the makeshift strap broke and it fell to the ground. Cashew looked at the bag and sighed.
Cashew: I'll take a small Crystal to the Old Man in the Merchants basement tomorrow and see what I can learn about Mana Crystals. Maybe I can sell them and get some money. Since apparently the money I have can only buy me directions to the exit.... In the Merchants shop, at least.
Cashew picked up his wolf skin bag and emptied it on a table.
He has 5 Small Crystals, a large Crystal, a mans crystal, a makeshift Mana Crystal in the form of a rock, a small amount of Wolf pelt, two daggers and a dragon scale.
Cashew put the Large Crystal and 4 Small crystals back into the wolf hide bag alongside the dragon scale and looked around the house.
The House is maybe 7 meters from the front door to the back of the house and 4 meters wide. If you stand by the front door and look in, there is an old chair to the left of the door, and old dresser to the right of the door, an old bed made out of wood and dried grass near the rear corner on the right, an old table that's kinda in the middle of the house, the remnants of a bedside table next to the bed, and an small table behind the headboard of the bed.
Cashew also looked up at the ceiling, looking for a place to hide his bag full of Crystals and dragon scale. He did see a piece of wood that's placed on the roofs support beams, wanting to see what was up there before putting his loot up there, Cashew moved the chair next to the table so he could climb up onto it. Once Cashew was on the table, he picked the chair up and placed it onto the table as well, climbing onto the chair. Very dangerous and unstable.
Cashew can just barely see what's up there. He sees a small wooden crate, but he can't see any farther.
Having an Idea, Cashew took his good shoulder bag off and stacked the books on top of the seat of the chair, adding an extra 20 centimeters of height. Standing on this, Cashew can finally see what's on top.
What else is up there wasn't worth the effort. Aside from the small wooden chest, there is a rat carcass that's probably been there for months, some old cloth, and some leaves and branches.
Cashew wanting to see what was in the chest, he decided to climb up there and look inside.
Cashew tried to open the chest only to Realize it's locked. He tried a few more times, hoping the wood was old and it would shatter upon too much effort, but no luck. Cashew decided to drag the chest closer to the edge so he can get it down, thinking it would be annoying to have to climb up there Everytime he wants to try again.
Dragging the chest closer to the edge, climbing down and reaching up to pull the chest closer, Cashew noticed that there was a key attached to the bottom of the chest, as if a little cloth slot was built into the chest specifically for holding it. Cashew milovedcthe chest onto the chair he was standing on, then onto the table, then onto the floor, grabbing the key from under the chest and putting it into the slot,
Cashew: It fits!
He turned the Key and opened the chest only to find...
...
Cashew: Nothing.
The chest had nothing in it. Well, it had a notebook of sorts that was so old, the writing inside wasn't even readable, as well as some dust, but aside from that, the chest was empty.
Cashew decided to put his wolf skin bag and it's contents inside the chest for now and hid the chest underneath the bed, not forgetting to lock it and keep 1 Crystal for showing to the old man.
Cashew took some wood from the destroyed Bedside table and went outside, Starting a fire and using the wood as fuel. Cashew proceeded to cook the slice of dragon meat he had,
Watching the dragon meat cook, Cashew suddenly wondered what would happen to him? All of the animals he ate in the past existed in his old world, but the dragon is the first creature he's gotten to eat that didn't exist in his old world. What if the dragon meat is toxic or harmful in some way?
Cashew decided to ignore it and eat the dragon meat anyways, taking a bite out of it, he found dragon meat rather lackluster in taste. Not bad, but the Wolf tasted better. Taking another bite, Cashew suddenly felt a sharp pain in his side, Right where the cut he had originally was. The pain was so intense that Cashew collapsed over, holding back a scream.
The pain was bad, so bad that he lost consciousness for a few minutes.
When Cashew woke up, he found himself no longer in pain. He lifted his shirt up and noticed that the cut was gone. A scar was there, but the scar looked old, as if he got it years ago instead of earlier that day.
Cashews body also felt better, he always took care of himself, but he feels even more amazing than usual. He felt full, as if he had the perfect amount of food. He doesn't even feel tired anymore.
Cashew: I need to ask the old man about dragon meat as well ...
Cashew felt very energetic at the moment. One could argue he was always energetic. Trying to walk when he was 5 months old, always running off despite his parents telling him not to, you could say he was always energetic, but Cashew felt like he could run for hours and not tire.
Cashew decided to head to the old man now as it was still daytime and he was feeling to energetic right now.
What was normally an Hour long walk, Cashew was able to run in the span of 7 minutes and he felt like he could still run more. Cashew stopped running once he reached cobblestone and started to walk the rest of the way, not wanting to walk, but afraid that him running would put the guards on alert.
Cashew: On the topic of guards. Will they try to arrest me? Maybe not? Rognil said they'd call it even, but...
He decided to just approach and see what happens.
Cashew kept walking and eventually reached the gate, deciding to not approach the guard and see what happens.
Guard: Halt, Boy. Name yourself and state your business.
Cashew: Im here for the Merchant with the Pink door. The old man, specifically.
Guard: I see... Name?
Cashew not wanting to share his name decided to lie to the guard.
Cashew: Boy.
Guard: What?
Cashew: My name is Boy.
Guard: Haha. Very funny, what's your real name?
Cashew: Not lying. My name is Boy. My parents sucked at names. My oldest brother was named "Boy", the next oldest was "Boy 2", then it was "Girl", then "Boy 3", "Girl 2", Then there is me, "Boy 4", so I guess I did lie. My name is "Boy 4."
The guard looked at him with a suspicious glare, not believing a word Cashew Says.
Guard: *Sigh* Fine. I'll leave it alone for now, you can enter.
The guard stepped to the side and let Cashew in.
Cashew: Thank you.
Cashew entered the city and headed towards the Merchant with a pink door on his shop.
He entered the store and looked at the Merchant, who was looking back at him.
Cashew: I'm here for the Old Man.
Merchant: Downstairs. Announce yourself before you go in.
The merchant pointed to the door to the basement and went back to his book.
Cashew went down to the basement, Announced himself and approached the old man.
Old Man: You here to finally name yourself?
Cashew pulled out a small Crystal he got from the Crystal Bear and showed it to the Old Man.
Old Man: Interesting...
