I slept that night with questions weighing on my mind. Baurbius could not do anything to avenge his loved one because of a god that was possibly stronger than him.
I did not want to jump to conclusions but I imagined that it was because gods could kill gods and Baurbius knew that if he went up against this unknown god, he would be the one to end up dying.
I was going to meet Simon in the morning to ask more about the history of this place. I had been so caught up in the ordinary life I had been living that I had not bothered to try to do anything. But now that the ordinary life had been destroyed, I could learn more about this place.
Simon was not hard to find as he lived just next door. His parents were still not back from whatever they went to do in the city.
"You know, you are becoming obsessed with me." He said as he let me in.
