Wilson sighed as soon as he heard Asher's question. He hadn't expected that nor had he expected Old Aidan to tell him something like that.
"The Shattered Mask pathway consists of many smart ascenders, most of them originating from the Hermes family." Wilson explained and then saw the look of surprise on Asher's face. "Is something wrong?"
"Wasn't the Hermes family part of the Hermes Empire?" Asher asked.
"Yes, their progenitor David Hermes founded the Hermes Empire and was basically the reason this entire continent stands today." Wilson replied.
"Hmm, so do members of the Hermes family still exist here?" Asher asked once again, his curiosity piqued by Wilson's explanations.
"That we do not know, they haven't been seen from or heard of since the Age of Steam and Machinery." He said as he put his legs down and then leaned forward, crossing his fingers beneath his chin.
