Running through the woods, in the fast Forest D'IR, Runia was chased by assassins. "Huh" she stopped as she came across a divided path, one way going right the other going left. Runia took a big breath then ran left. —Crick— a branch cracked behind her. She glanced downward, searching for what she had stepped on, but found nothing. The assassins were still far away, Runia figured it couldn't possibly have been them.
"Who's there?" she shouted, slowly turning to scan her surroundings with a wary gaze. "Why is a young lady like you running around in the woods at this hour?" A voice, calm yet carrying an unexpected presence, reached her, though her eyes found no source. "I am behind you, my lady." The words settled at her back, and she turned with swift, controlled movement. Before her, the air seemed to waver, then coalesce into a figure. "I am Sebastian, my lady," he said, the last vestiges of an invisibility spell fading, "nice to meet you."
"Your highness?" Runia's breath caught, not in fear, but in a sharp surge of recognition. "You are from the kingdom of Vernillia." A flicker of surprise crossed Sebastian's face. "You know me?" "Yes, of course," she confirmed, her mind racing.
"This way!" The urgent shouts of approaching assassins cut through the air. "It was a nice encounter, your highness, but I have to go." Without hesitation, Runia vanished into the trees, a blur of motion.
"I— still do not have your name." Sebastian's sigh was a low murmur in the sudden silence.
