What is the most important?
A leader, or a symbol?
Leaders can be incredibly powerful, moving people through orders and actions. They inspire loyalty with their presence.
But symbols transcend the individual. They inspire belief. They unite. Symbols will live on long after a leader is gone.

The group of gang members opened fire on Kael, who smiled.
They thought bullets could still harm him? After what they had just witnessed?
The bullets bounced off of an invisible barrier as the gem flared from within him.
Kael continued walking forward, pushing two massive guards out of the way as they attacked.
He scanned the group, then found the leader. A large scar ran down his left eye, completely blinding him on that side.
If he wanted a fight, that would make for an easy advantage.
"Stand down," Kael ordered the group, and the leader snarled.
