The other two turned to her, startled. Yan Rouxi tilted her head. "What do you mean?"
"I've been thinking about that woman's words. Last night, she said something strange—'Your death has been written. It will come at any time, any place, by anyone." Xia Yuqing lowered her voice, "I believe the woman who attacked me and the woman lying in that bed are not the same person."
"But how can we be sure?" Yan Rouxi asked, frowning. "What if she's just pretending?"
"It's a possibility," Xia Yuqing admitted. "Which is why we'll keep her under surveillance—secretly."
"I'll do it," Rong Xi offered quickly, puffing out her chest. "Leave it to me."
Xia Yuqing nodded. "Then it's settled. But let's assume for a moment that these two are separate individuals. That leads to one conclusion—possession."
Rong Xi's expression twisted in confusion. "Possession?"
