Fang Yi snuffed out his cigarette butt. There were drinks on the dining table, and he poured himself a cup, taking two sips as if to soothe his throat.
Then Fang Yi stood up and paced back and forth, his demeanor not hurried in the least but exuding an extremely steady aura instead. Lin Xueru, watching the calm man before her, felt a multitude of wariness rise in her heart.
"I don't want to get anything from you. I just want to advise you, don't oppose me," Fang Yi suddenly looked at her.
"Don't oppose you?" Lin Xueru scoffed, "I, the proud daughter of the Lin Family, would be scared of you?"
"You're not scared?"
"I..."
Scared?
Truth be told, deep down, Lin Xueru was a bit scared of Fang Yi. The things he had done to her in that hotel last time had already left some psychological scars, and coupled with their current clash, her wariness towards Fang Yi had grown. How could she not be scared?
